To anyone who hasn't played the new game: the Pokemon in the ball Marnie is holding is a Morpeko. Morpeko's special ability is that every turn it switches from cute and smiley (Full Belly mode) to scary and serious (Hangry mode)

That's how I always imagine the trainer. Kinda laid back or sweet or just easy going. Then when the battle comes they get the intense look of "I will fucking destroy you in this battle"
