As a shipper of Laura and Charlotte from Infinite Stratos, I am a used to pairing the girls in threesomes. This picture, even with context, is yuri. And without it, is an adorable addition to my Lillie x Moon collection

Yeah I'm not a Pokemon player either, but the series definitely has some cute ships. This ship is probably my favorite though, and the look between them here is very adorable.

I've mentioned at least twice on this site what makes this pairing so great. The game really sells the relationship between the you and Lillie, and how your time together gives Lillie the confidence to stand on her own and even inspires her to go on her own pokeventure. It's a bittersweet ending when she parts ways with you, but one that's earned. Definitely the best pokemon story so far. Not sure how they could or even if they would top it in Sword and Shield.

And Moon x Lillie was the first pokemon pairing I really cared about since Dawn x Cynthia. I really dislike how Ultra SM made Lillie's interactions seem a bit less intimate?

Maybe that's why we always see Moon with Lillie rather than Ultra Moon.

I hope well get a lot more yuri in Pokemon in the future.

I heard someone explain it like this: Lillie fulfills the role of the childhood friend love interest in your average anime, but they didn't make a difference for her interactions based on gender, so this is the closest to actual yuri you can get in Pokemon.
