When I blacklist certain tags, like Lolicon, things with that tag still show up in listings for other tags. What exactly does this affect?

The blacklist only affects what you will see on the Recently Added page, along with any new content on the Front Page. The feature has no bearing on what shows up in the directory or search functions (though, you can use advanced search and exclude tags manually). My apologies for the inconvenience, that's the best we can do for the time being.
