I apologize if there's already an existing thread about Maison de Maid, but I searched back a few pages and couldn't find anything of the sort.
So. I've been reading Maison de Maid consistently since it was released on Lezhin. It had a bit of a slow start, but soon began to pick up, and it quickly became one of my favorite yuri comics on the site. It made me look forward to Mondays, even with The Third Party on the same day, which felt more like a chore to read, if I'm being honest.
But then I wake up today, go onto Lezhin, and I see...
Chapter 43 (The End)
Maison de Maid ended today, out of seemingly nowhere. Things were just starting to pick up, June and Violet had just entered into a formal relationship with one another, and it looked like there were at least a few plot points that had begun to develop towards their climaxes.
And then... It all comes to an end. All of the plot development between chapter 42 and chapter 43 is just summarized over the course of a few panels, and then it just... Ends. Out of nowhere.
I looked for the authors/artists' social media pages, but I couldn't find anything. Since Lezhin is, as we all know, incredibly opaque with official news and the such, there were no answers there, either.
So, I guess I have to ask. Does anybody here know what happened with Maison de Maid? Did the authors/artists just not want to do it any more? Did Lezhin force a cancellation?
Very confusing.
