I think by "innocent maiden" yoshino means that she's experienced the pain of loving and losing in regards to the older woman; she loves the teacher, but understands that letting go of someone/thing you love is pretty difficult and so she doesn't hold it against the lady for using her as a rebound.

Maybe. Why else would she have a need to forgive her? :D

I feel like a fish on a hook, somehow. ^^ One of the things I really appreciate about this story is that it didn't have some lame ass "underdog" plot with in which hard work lands a person the success they're aiming for. Sometimes--actually........a lot of times...it won't. It's not like that's the take-home lesson, but I like it.

There was a study on "coming out of the closet" to one's family in Asian countries. The funny thing is, nobody is actually coming out of the closet. The closet gets bigger so those people can come inside. HAHAHAHA. In other words, all your relatives would like to keep your homosexuality a secret.

I don't think Asian countries are any more open to homosexuality than others, but there is one thing that comes to mind.... Vietnamese people are generally accepting or at least understanding towards gay men (acceptance for being born that way), but they view lesbians as sick/mentally afflicted women. I think something similar like that happens in the Philippines, too.

I'm wondering.. does anyone know the inspiration for the clothing in this manga, like what country or culture? So there's dark skin, buddhism....but I don't have enough to go on to determine anything. HAHA. Perhaps it's all made up...
