This series is hitting all the right notes for me so far. Akane getting more characterisation is reassuring because it could so easily have become like a few josei series in this vein where there's a trans woman present but it's almost exclusively from the cis woman's frame of reference.

The bit where she reassures An was so touching.

Okay I actually didn't expect her to come out there so that's actually a pleasant surprise. I absolutely hated the last arc but Kase coming out like that does seem to suggest some small level of growth and hopefully we'll get a little bit of fluffy cohabitation before the next upsetting thing happens.

That's what happens when you make a romantic story about a concept that is extremely not romantic. It was very cute, of course, but I was left with the impression that the author has never been around a smoker and is just idolising the fact that they look cool, considering "you smell so nice" is not a thing anybody would say while inhaling a mouthful of smoke.

Not really beating the "no chill" allegations here.
