Oh my god this is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL... I honestly don't mind that it doesn't have a happy ending, I think it's a good reflection of how Kotori takes their special bond for granted and how she keeps her feelings hidden until it's too late because she's already "content" with what they have and she would rather protect a loved one's happiness rather than her own despite the utter pain— leading to this unrequited ending. It really leaves you wondering if it would have worked out if Kotori confessed her love. ( By the way, I wonder who Honoka married? I like Umi in this artstyle.)
