Damn Bai Yan is a great character. Don't get me wrong, she's awful, nasty and extremely hateable, but in a really realistic way. Gotta hand it to Xian Jun for writing such a believably horrible character.

Too many times on this site there's awful characters but it's all explained away too nicely or they're secretly sympathetic or just unrealistically evil. Here; nah. She's awful and selfish and manipulative in a way I can understand.

I don't really understand the last few pages. What does Yura (?) mean on page 41 when she tells Koma that "she's not her problem" and "she's being looked down on". Why is she calling her a coward when the train doors are closing ?

So my understanding is that “not her problem” was something Yura actually said when she was still alive as Koma kept brushing her off when it was clear something was wrong “you got hurt, but knowing you it was probably your fault, right?” It was clear that Yura was getting bullied and skipping school but Koma refused to acknowledge any of it.

Eventually Yura killed herself due to the bullying and lack of support from her supposed friend, possibly by drowning herself. As such Koma now has the guilt that she didn’t do enough to help Yura, it’s her subconscious calling her a coward for refusing to address the actual problems and potentially save her friend’s life.

Yeah, stupid plot direction; stupid random edgy-ness. Maybe it was always planned that way all along, but it kinda gives "out of ideas by chapter 4" vibes ^^

Yeah, feels like we’ve barely dealt with the actual issues raised in first chapters before we jumped on this forced drama.

Oh man, after all this Xingyuan still blames herself for everything when nothing was her fault. Like it’s her fault for being gay or smart. I really wonder what she thinks made her detestable, the guilt and self-loathing runs deep.

What a nice little chapter with Yunduo and her Dad, that conversation felt so heartfelt and real. Sometimes parents don’t understand the lessons they teach us and then forget to correct them when they realise or change.

I really really like this one. I like how surprisingly real it’s become after the initial ridiculousness and I like how they handled Ayaka and Risa. I see people feel sorry for her and I get it but I do sort of like the story that just because you like someone doesn’t mean they have to like you. She gave it a shot but Ayaka just isn’t into her and that’s fine.

Fun fact, Marisa is canonically PAN(krarist).

I’m trying to find a story I’m sure I read here, it was a story following a girl through her whole life. I remember the whole plot just can’t find it with tags, it starts with her as a child and her teacher telling her two girls can’t get married, then she dates a guy for like one panel then meets a cute tomboy in college, gets drunk and sleeps with her ending up with them getting married and ends with her on her death bed, happy.
