I'm liking this story so far.

My take on this, specially from chapter 2, is that her sister died and her cause of death most likely has something to do about her being a commoner. Lapis' revenge on society would then be something like becoming a villainess, oppressing a symbol of the commoners forcing them to fight back and cause a revolution. Or something idk its just my guess so don't take my word for it.
