I have wished for a different story for this one.

I wish that, Qiangyi can be, strict and firm and slap A'wu out of her mind, and tell her that, give yourself some years and if it's not working, let's go back to reality and get a decent job.
If she is sturdy and firm about their future together, will that help A'wu making a better decision and not ended up being abusive towards alcoholism and I think there's DV happening but I might be wrong, as it's too subtle.

There is absolutely the potential for a happier outcome here - like how you wrote. But I'm glad the story wrapped up how it did because I think it's important to highlight that not everyone is strong enough to handle both their own and someone else's baggage. Qiangyi may have loved A'wu, but maybe she just didn't have the volition to deal with her - or she may very well being going through her own unseen issues.
