Would have liked to see the hero part of the premise. It just seems like a regular hugh school boarding house so far.

The hero part is in the main manga. This is a slice of life spin-off. Unfortunately the main manga is not on Dynasty, but you can find it on mangadex:

Gonna take this chance to suggest the LN instead. Manga is still fine but it cuts some content, LN is the definitive version of the story.
