Really strong writing in this one, especially in the pacing. I was surprised by how every chapter was tight and focused, had a point to it, and felt like meaningful development. I think Little Imari repeating back the same advice she was given is genuinely very touching, saying in no uncertain terms that she wants to be the person Big Imari needs. 100% worth the read.

I enjoy delicate, slow burn stories. Most of my relationships have been like that, so it's strange for me to see it be called "unrealistic". Passion looks different for different people, after all. Obviously the premise of this story is a little unusual, but the feeling of it, and of friendships which slowly become something more, is very familiar to me, and I think this author captures it quite lovingly.

Also, really appreciate these scanlators and their attention to detail.

Beautiful and melancholic. I don't know that I agree it's meaningless, I think Aya has a character arc of learning to appreciate Tsukiko at a distance. And at their reunion, they find that both have found something they enjoy in life; in other words, the stress and anxiety of their youth has been answered. Maybe not exactly the way they wanted it to be (esp. for Aya), but they've definitely matured.

I enjoy stories like this, I think it prompts reflection on our relationships and their boundaries.
