I'll admit this story doesn't have the efficient storytelling of something like One Piece. It's much more slow, more...methodical. Framing every detail to get you into the head of the characters. Definitely not a fast paced story.

I mean, they are still teens. That doesn't excuse everything they do but it's a bit much throwing them in the same box as a random sexual predator; you grow up, you try boundaries, you mess up. And we currently don't know all that much about Miyuki's circumstances. It's unlikely, but for all we know she genuinely wants to be with Asuka and that hickey comes from something else entirely.

I'm fairly confident that the context clues given to us all but confirm that she's predatory. She's so careful about having affairs with other girls and seemingly targetting girls specifically younger than her that the idea of a "player" just doesn't seem to fit, since "players" very rarely ever hide the fact they are a "player". A predatorial behavior is clearly exhibited here and she seems all too conscious of the fact for it to simply be a mistake or a mess up. This stuff is clearly on her mind, and she thinks about it carefully. Any and all innocence for Miyuki is pretty much invalidated because shes doing this willingly and consciously. I don't care what circumstances lead to her behavior, that's not an excuse for it, merely a reason.

My only issue right now is how forgetful people seem to be. It tends to get rather irritating. My brain is constantly screaming, "Why is this story so difficult to remember!? Why does this seem like a mess to you!? Fits like a nice puzzle for me! How is any of this confusing!? How is any of this complicated!? It's so so so simple, so how!?"

I do believe Taiyaki has released a new chapter.

That said I would also very much like to see how Asuka and Ayako would function as a couple after they become one. I reeeeally hope that manga is not going to end right after they start dating.

Then, as long as it keeps selling well, I'm confident it's not going to end so soon.

Taiyaki has stated that she intends for this series to be long-running, and given it's a very unique premise that's being taken very seriously (would normally be the butt end of a joke or running gag in anything else, or at most a hentai) I could see it gaining a lot of traction overtime as there's really nothing else like it, even if a lot of that traction is due to morbid curiosity.

Although, if this forum is any indication, the bulk of the followers will be people who actually have a real interest in the series. We have in this thread about a hundred commenters who love Taiyaki's work, and only two worthies who claim they read it out of morbid curiosity... and one of them hasn't been heard of since they slapped a ban on him for bad etiquette. I'm certain that most of the Japanese readers will be real fans who sincerely appreciate the basic premise and the serious, original way the story is being handled.

She recently got an editor and this has allowed her to be more consistent. Expect monthly-ish releases for a while.
