And now for a public safety message that has no connection at all with this manga, Pranks that are designed to make the victim think someone is trying to kill someone are not pranks but deadly serious business. They have the unfortunate tendency to every once in a while result in the death of either one of the pranksters or the victim. This is especially true if either the victim or someone the victim cares about is directly threatened as part of the prank. So good little boys and girls (and adults too), please don't ever pull this kind of prank.

So basically, this Gensokyo is trapped in an endless cycle, or possibly an infinite time loop, revolving around Marisa.
They're gonna need a goddamn miracle to resolve this incident.
