I always find it underwhelming when nearly all developments around characters come externally, instead of any internal growth any of them achieve on their own ...
I’ve been feeling kinda like that too with this last arc, but I think that comes from the 4 page once a week format? Makes it feel too slow but after a few re-readings you realize it flows better when you have more chapters to read all out at once. Both Aya and Mitsuki grew quite a bit thanks to each other, they became comfortable being in their own skin like, Aya not being self conscious about her love for western music and Mitsuki not being afraid to show her real self. To be fair Narita has had to butt in a few times, but the girls have also done some growth by themselves
