I think it depends on their ages... if there are two women in their 30's living together it seems less likely to be roommates than if they are in their early 20's

there was a manga here called something like 'mama hit me one more time' based on a chinese 4panel meme but i can't find it anymore. Did it get removed? it was about a girl doing homework and then her mom getting mad and hitting her.

The Chinese is basically the first lines of the manga, "you've been studying all day, how about mom take you to the park" and "no, mom i like studying."
