Cause if you're not then you're doing a great job of emulating him. Liking non-canon pairings doesn't make you less of a fan of a series than someone who prefers canon pairings. It just means you enjoy it a different way than they do.

It is explained how in the post you are replying to. I'm not sure why you think you just saying "no you're wrong" proves otherwise. You don't enjoy the series a different way. Non-canon pairs have literally nothing to do with the actual series. Thus you are enjoying your own shipping, you are not enjoying the series. Unless you want to point me to a cause where non-canon pairs actually show up in the series. Thus they would actually be a part of the series.

You don't like the series for what it is, you like it for what you can get out of it. Your interest is in your own amusement, rather than the series itself.

For the record, I'm the person who scanned this doujin. It was part of a larger anthology. And someone took my scans, and uploaded them to imgur so they could post them on reddit, and imgur massively downscaling the page.

Why do you think you're a fan of something just because you say you are? it's not "rigid thinking". It's factual thinking. You don't like the series for it is, you like what you get out of it. Which are two totally different things.

Clearly not a fan of the series, then. A fan appreciates what they are a fan of. And to appreciate something means to recognize it's full worth. The series itself doesn't treat the characters like interchangeable shipping fodder, so that's not part of their full worth. Thus you do not appreciate the characters, thus you are not a fan.

Short of using tamper monkey and grease monkey, it would be nice if there was a way to change the color scheme of the site. Specifically I was thinking of a darker color scheme to it's easier on the eyes.

For anyone who wants to check it out Toranoana has recently started selling a lot of e-books versions of doujin and manga. It's pretty easy to rip from their site, too.
