This has to be the worst doujin I've ever seen. I thought nothing could be any worse than ugly bastards..

I was wrong.

I'm a big LL fan but I wish the anime (or other canonical content) had included this kind of realistic drama, personally I feel like it could have made the story deeper. I really like when fans try to show a different side of the idol life, Mikawa Miso is especially good at it.

I wouldn't say this manga is wrong in the way it describes gay people. I'm not sure how old this is, but it's clearly an old-school yuri, you have to consider that homosexuality wasn't always seen the way we see it nowadays. It's still pretty progressive - it depicts openly gay characters (both men and woman), butch lesbians, and the protagonist is either a lesbian in denial or bisexual. It just has that bittersweet feel of old yuri.

Also, I felt a little bad for Tracy. Her love remains one-sided at the end... and I would have liked to see if Chelle was really as annoying as she is described. Poor girl has cancer, she probably had very good reasons to be clingy lmao

Mob sensei is always so hot. Can't blame Negom for creating her and making endless doujinshi about this character lol. However, the mom theme really turned me off... I found it way too creepy for my taste.

I've always found the pet play in this surprisingly hot. However, when I checked the Japanese version I realized that the English translation is extremely inaccurate in some pages. It bothers me lol

Engagement! Now this is a proper ending, unlike the previous chapter. I'm much more satisfied now. These two remain a very cute couple.

tbh i dont know who to ship erika with

she loves bern, but her and dlanor are cute together

Become a multishipper! There we go. Problem solved.
Personally I enjoy Bern x Erika the most because I'm a sucker for master/servant dynamics and Erika's blatant crush is too adorable. Still, if you're looking for a slightly healthier pair for her, Erika x Dlanor is your best choice. I like both for different reasons.

I don't understand what happened to this thread. Last time I was here it seemed somewhat normal, but it escalated into a huge discussion about identity. It seems people can't deal with characters who are gender nonconforming. But the manga is pretty clear in saying that Kanda is a girl and her brother is male, no matter how they look.

Anyway, the last chapter was cute, but as an ending it was pretty underwhelming. Hoping for a sequel of some kind.

Therefore, homosexuality has almost nothing to do whatsoever with biological sex

I disagree. But then again, it would depend on your definition. If homosexuality had little to do with biological sex, homophobia would not be that big of a thing. The reason homophobia exists is because conservative societies cannot fathom the idea of people being attracted only to the same sex (i.e., society's definition of homosexuality). You cannot "see" someone's gender identity as it's psychological but you can usually recognize their sex. It's sex-signaling. Your brain identifies these sex characteristics and you can't help but be attracted to the same (or opposite) sex, or at least to people who appear to have characteristics of the same (or opposite) sex (like trans people who transition). It's just a visual thing that's innate. Similarly, for heterosexuality; it has a lot to do with sex given how it also involves sexual reproduction.

I just wanted to say that I agree with you. I'm a lesbian and I care about biological sex. I understand that not everyone is the same, but homosexuality is based on the same (homo) sex (sexuality). I didn't think it was controversial to say, especially in spaces that are supposed to be LGBT-friendly. If homosexuality wasn't biological, then nobody would be gay, since homophobia is a thing in most countries and logically you'd want to avoid being oppressed. But since you can't help who you're attracted to, it's not like you can choose.

Very, very good. I love this artist! The world needs more tomboy.

Btw why is Uno-kun called "they"? It seems very clear to me that all the characters are girls here. It confused me at first.

I'll never get over how Miwako's trauma over her husband harassing someone turned her gay lol. I guess that's how people used to think sexuality works...

That was sweet, but as everyone else said the blood was a turn off... I guess the author is male and does not understand what happens much, other than "something pops and blood comes out" lol.

Poor Kiyo-chan, she deserves better than a girl who is dating someone else behind her back. The ending is really sad, clearly the protagonist is so desperate that she's willing to be a side chick.

This is a masterpiece. Not only we need more tomboy x tomboy content, but the way they're both trying to protect the other is so funny and cute.

Kurahashi is a cute tomboy and I don't get why people are saying she looks like a guy. However, I'm a little disappointed by the fact her lesbianism (and possibly her style as well) seems linked to her history of sexual abuse from her stepfather. That's pretty common in old school yuri, but I don't like it at all. While lesbians can experience abuse like anyone else, it's an old stereotype associated with female homosexuality that I'd prefer not to see ever again. I don't think I like what the author is implying with "my body doesn't exist just for men, but it doesn't exist just for you either. We can't fight the demands of our body. They're merciless."

I also couldn't find this work relatable at all, but maybe it's because I'm not bisexual.

I've just read all the chapters available and damn, this series is much cuter than I thought. Kanda is the perfect girlfriend, I may have fallen for her, too lol
Although I couldn't help but feel a little sad over the premise, I feel that in real life something like this would never happen. The idea of a straight (?) girl who falls for a guy but still loves and accepts him when it's revealed that she was a girl all along... that's not how sexual orientation works, is it? But in hindsight it seems that Ookuma was probably a lesbian all along, too and never realized due to how sheltered she was. Otherwise she wouldn't be able to enjoy kissing and even having sex with another girl. Plus, in the very first chapter she says she never liked any guy before Kanda.

Going back to the plot, I'm gonna be sad once it's over. I love their interactions, they're very funny. And the relationship itself is really sweet and respectful! 10/10 couple here.

I think the art styles and presentation should also be considered. Softcharm's works are so wild and ridiculous that nobody would ever take them seriously. They take place in unrealistic settings where nobody seems to question why there are kids masturbating or having sex publicly. Sure, they're very fetishistic, but that's porn for you.

However, Itou Hachi has a very pretty and soft art style, they don't draw porn exclusively but often make actual stories. Somehow, a sweet, "wholesome" atmosphere mixed up with what is evidently pedophilia comes off as creepier than mere loli porn. I don't think one is worse than the other when it comes to morally questionable content, but I admit that this manga disturbed me more than Softcharm's due to the pedo implications presented in such a cutesy, non-threatening way. The fact there's a character that clearly sees the woman's actions as predatory only made it worse.

Congrats on the sex.

Okay, but seriously, this one is my favorite. Seeing them awkwardly flirt is pretty funny, and whey they actually make that "final step"... it felt realistic.
And adorable.

This was really good. I truly appreciate a more serious approach to Love Live! stories, it's a great way to expand on these characters. "What will they do when they're older" is a question I asked myself many times. Nico's struggles made me so sad, I can see this happening at some point. The only element I hated was Eri dating Nozomi, they're my NOTP lol. Even so, I liked how they mentioned Nozomi's family being unsupportive of her homosexuality, that's very realistic, sadly.

Why are so many people jumping to conclusions? Chiaki may have valid reasons to have scars. Is there a tag for it? Maybe if it was tagged, people wouldn't freak out so much. I personally don't see it as offensive and I have gone through some shit like self-harm myself...

About the characters, they are so damn cool and hot. I love tomboys, I wish there was more yuri with them! I think you can see that they're girls, maybe Karen (oops, I mean Kiri, haha) is kind of a reverse trap, but she's so cute. I hope the artist makes more comics or even just art of these two.

I love this artist and the doujinshi was very cute, although I hate futa so I skimmed through the sex scenes (no offence to trans people, I'm a lesbian in real life so I prefer not to see penises anywhere, haha). I love his art style, plus his comics are always interesting (I remember a Eli/Umi one where Eli gets an haircut, I love that one). I used to follow him (on Twitter and Pixiv) for his LL art, I'm glad he also got into Im@s and chose such a great ship as his OTP! I hope more of his works get scanlated.
