i see, kobeya-san decided to pump up the comedy this time. That's ok, i like it. Not as much as the others, but still i liked it.
anyway, it's good, once in a while, to read an Age gap that won't end in A) prison for one and B) years of therapy for the other :D

And that lead us to the best 18 years of our life. Sadly, recently we parted ways, but while we're not lovers anymore we are still best friend.
Back to business, while this one shot is not pink&fluffy, at least there was a confession. And some kind of ambiguity on the outcome (at least there's not a straight rejection).
IMHO, you can try to keep your feelings hidden, but sooner or later that will put a strain on the friendship. I mean, i wouldn't stand seeing my beloved one being with others, so probably i would unconsciously distance myself until there wouldn't be any more contact.
Soooo, where all this ranting would lead? for me, if i don't confess, i would lose them. if i confess, there's a 50-50.

for what i got there's no real het ending, just hiory being conscious of him but on the other end there's a BFF forever from Hiyori's side and something a little more possessive from akira's side
So, a really bland ending. maybe that's way it has been dropped :D

I have to say that i'm almost happy there's no italian verision of this one. A couple of month ago i bought shojo sect and... my god, it is so bad that i wonder if the translator actually got a copy or just a txt with the script. With blank bubbles, mistakes and mistranslations, It have the label "Just porn, doesn't need to spend money on it" sticked all over.
Back to business, i don't think Hina is so horrible. I mean, she fell for another (underage) girl that is in love with her adult guardian. Enough to minblow her. As per the blackmailing... i don't think it was planned, she just get caught in her own flow. Same for Otome, she find herself cornered in a bad situation AND she's just a child, comply to Hina's request is the most common answer. In the end there's no proof they had sex, also the "mood" suggests they didn't.

Simply put, i didn't liked it. Also, my reaction to it is stronger - probably - due to disappointment. Reading around, you see only praise to utena, so i was expecting the perfect show.
To my taste, the story is the most important side of a show. i can overlook other weak spots if the story is nice and solid. Sadly (for me) story is the main weak spot of utena. That's all.
well, that's just my point of view, i'm not trying to force it onto anyone.

I've tried. I've watched episode after episode waiting for it to become good. Because if every single comment that you can find on Utena is full of thumbs-up, sooner or later it would also get me, right?
Well, after 39 boring episodes, the only thing that Utena left behind is a collection of plot holes. And the feeling that i've wasted 15 hours of my life.
Anyway, i can fully agree that this picture is amazing.

i'm sorry, i'm not so good at expressing my feelings, so probably i will end writing some rambling thoughts but...anyway.
You know, almost a year ago, life decided to stab deep in my back. I was emotionally broken, everything seems dark and gloomy and muddy and i couldn't see how things could ever change. Then, by chance, i stumbled on your work and reading through story i felt something. Now that i feel better, i think it was like you talked to me. You cheered me up, telling me that things CAN turn brighter. Maybe little by little, sometimes you almost doesn't get it but you reassured me that bit by bit the world could be bright again. So, thank you. Really. That was nice from you, even if you didn't know.
Finally, you could say that i'm naive, but i prefer to think that i'm optimist. So i won't tell you that it doesn't matter if you take a looong pause from Fluttering Feeling. Nope. I'm looking forward to it. To meet again Seol-A and No-Rae. To dive into your other stories, to meet the people that will live through them. I want to belive.. no, i'm sure that someday you will share them with us.
