Anyway Producer is a self insert and can easily be a female if you see fit.

There is a difference between an accent and a dialect.

Taking two parts of each name and mixing them up together for a nickname is a very common thing that the Japanese do, having an opinion of what Natsuki's intentions might be is irrelevant. An opinion doesn't justify an incorrect translation.
