That's honestly the least surprising thing about this whole situation. It seems that they barely spoke to each other; she probably never thought to mention him, because she didn't even think of him.
The fact that they got married because they were on the brink of breaking up is the stupidest decision I've ever read and was actually annoying to read. Such a pointless story. It would make more sense if we saw it the kohai regretting her life choices a few years down the line.
