Like most fourth-wall-break stories, this was a lot of fun but made no goddamn sense even on its own terms. The k-drama W was a lot like these last few chapters, for instance. I do recommend that show, but you really have to turn off your brain.

Hope this doesn't spoil it for anyone, but the ending just begs for a dark reading. Notice how, as soon as the author is "safe", Tsukino suddenly reverses something she's insisted on the whole time? And then the final strip is a happier version of one that Hinami "herself" drew? Looks to me like the in-comic author desperately trying to give Hinami a happy ending so she'll leave him alone -- and outright sacrificing Tsukino's free will to do it.

*has worn down the other party's resistance

Honestly, I don't think we can tell what Tsukino even means yet. (Maybe SHE's not sure what she means.) Could be a translation issue, but "I'm still straight" sounds to me like "I'll try dating you, but don't get your hopes up."

Of course, all her life calculations probably look a little different now that she knows she's fictional...

Careful, Tsukino. I would not put it past Hinami to make the Mirai Nikki "kill you so I can save you" play.

The title of this one's wrong: it should be Mark V, since that's the name of this suit (which debuted in Iron Man 2). Easy mistake to make, though. "Mark" and "Mach" are pronounced the same in Japanese, and thus look the same in katakana, since Japan learned English from the Brits.

There's a lot wrong with Hinami, but I'll give her this: we now know she can literally turn people gay, but she hasn't done it to Tsukino.

...Wait, that made more sense in my head. Is it better to refrain from using powers selfishly, but use them to mess with random people, or the other way around?

Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate Kitaku's quest to find the magic ingredient for the perfect yuri doujin.

I just think "constantly bringing up Takina's age" is one ingredient that could've been dismissed without testing.

Come on, Hinami, face the facts. That thing was a parasyte.

Luckily, Hinami managed to escape through a hole that her pursuer couldn't quite fit through.

The missing chapters were all done by the same group (Spruce Tree Scanlations), so that group must have asked to have them taken down. They can still be found on other sites.

And speaking of missing stuff, one Takano Saku series that hasn't made its way to Dynasty yet is The Vampire's Bride -- which is, among other things, a partial sequel to this one! It's a combat yuri series a bit like Valkyrie Drive, but the pairs are vampire/human, and instead of one turning into a weapon, the human is a juice box to power the vampire. The main pair seems to be visually based on the characters of Mermaid Lovers, but there are two other teams who get the spotlight in chapters 2 and 3, and those two are obviously just the couples from Vampire x Junior.

The most interesting part is that when Gouma-den was finishing up this series, the first chapter of The Vampire's Bride was already out -- and while they didn't mention it, they definitely knew about it, 'cause that's where their credit page pic was from!

The chapter titles are in fact 100% accurate to the original Japanese chapter titles

This is slightly pedantic, but no, the TL has made some little adjustments. It's usually just to make the Japanese pun (usually with "baka") into an English one. For instance, "Gravitwit" was originally just "Baka Gravity" -- I bet that sounds like something in Japanese that a native speaker would catch, but "Idiot Gravity" does nothing like that for us.

Other times the TL has chosen to match the English title of a work. "Baka Man Star Force", a currently-timely Mega Man Star Force reference, is the one that got me curious -- I just had to know if it was originally "Ryuusei no Bakaman" to match the JP title. (It was.) "Frozedense" is the title that loses the most. Japan likes to give Disney films more descriptive titles; their version of Frozen is "Ana to Yuki no Joou" (Anna and the Snow Queen). So the JP chapter was "Ana to Baka no Joou" -- except there's a SECOND change. Anna's name has gone from アナ (katakana, standard for foreign names) to 穴 (kanji, making it the word "hole" -- like in Nozoki Ana or Ana Satsujin). Presumably that ties in with the second-page line about a "gaping hole in the stage we've set". Good luck trying to do anything comparable with the single word "Frozen"!

I've been meaning for a while to say this series has filled the Futari Escape-shaped hole in my heart. I guess a chapter called Tandem Escape is as good a cue as any...

I definitely ran into That Room in some other manga recently. Can't remember which one, but in looking for it, I discovered that it's in Oddman 11! I think the scanners just didn't get the reference, since there's no note, and "the most normal pool ever" sounds like it could've come from what it's called in Japanese, "rei no pool" ("the usual pool").

There's a second page, so read that if you haven't yet. This is not the kind of famous room Tsukino was expecting.

(And I think we ALL know what Hinami had in mind taking her there...)

In retrospect, I should never have expected Mai to be endgame. This was always set up to be a Y: The Last Man sort of thing where the series-long quest for a lost love ends with the realization that the MC has found someone better along the way.

But dammit, Nanao still bores me to tears. Senpai route or bust.

Re: grave flashback, am I the only one wondering what those sailor uniforms are doing in a medieval setting? I hope that maid hasn't been isekai'd or something.

I regret to inform the MC that the afterlife is actually feudal Japan and it's no fun at all. She might get lucky and be born with powers, though.

I finally checked the raw and confirmed a longtime theory: on p.4, when Saki says Aki acts like a cat, she's actually calling her the "neko" (bottom) to Saki's "tachi" (top). The TLs found a clever way to make it work in English.

I was actually really enjoying how a series called "Throw Away the Suit Together" had turned into "Uhhh Turns Out You Might Want to Hang Onto That Suit After All So You Don't Starve and Such". It was a refreshing twist.

Didn't expect it to END on that note, though. No time for a rebound. Bummer.
