Just how did this story diverge so much? Isn't it literally called "Tae-chan and Kimiko-san"? We haven't seen them since chapter 5. So now there are more chapters that are not about them than there are about them. I want my OL yuri back.

Chapter 3 and 4 seem to be in the wrong order

I love the fact how Kidoguchi uses they (so, in the real one, didn't make the gender clear), so does Shimizu but she ends saying "her". It's a cool way to get out of the closet.

But this might just be due to the translation. Or did you mean they also did that in the original japanese version?
Edit: As far as i can tell with my very limited japanese skills in the raws she never mentions it being a "her"

She says 夢が叶った瞬間を、私が一番近くで見たいんた which i think roughly means "The moment (their) dream comes true, i want to be the closest one watching", so no mention of it being a 彼女

A manga about traditional japanese instruments. Seems quite interesting.

Some time ago I saw a girl on the street in my town in Germany, playing the instrument with the strings that lies and that is picked (what is it called?). It was cool to see and hear something so far away from its home. I'd really love to see it live again.

Instruments like that are called Zither and the japanese version is called Koto.
