Even though Different Story is not canon, the Drama CDs are, and the first issue of DS is pretty faithful to the CD.

Boy, wouldn't it be sweet if Sunny Day Life was canon.
Farewell Story was written by Masaki Hiramatsu. Whom also wrote the screenplay for Memories of You. There isn't an explicit answer to whether the CD's are canon or not. Just that they're official to the franchise. Consider everything official canon if you would. But remember, dare I mention that there's a terrible Christmas cake Mami spin-off that's officially published.

The PSP game, which was written by Urobuchi too, also corraborates with this fact.

And the PSP game had a route where Mami becomes an Idol and Sayaka confesses to Kyousuke.

Nez, don't get me wrong. The argument is on canon, shipping has nothing to do with it.

Don't get it wrong it's not popular. Reasons for the mass uploads as of late is because a while ago some KyouMami fan on /u/ decided to purchase doujinshi to spite some anons there.

The person themselves have admit they don't care about the overall quality of the uploads meaning whether the TL scripts have errors or not; they'd read what they can.
There's not much left from Takeshisu, so it'll soon be over.

Different story happens before Homura's save point.

So what happened then cannot be changed.

The Different Story isn't canon to the anime and movies. It's an alternate timeline that adapts events from a Drama CD.

Nagisa's never seen in these doujinshi. More likely the artist bases most works pre-Rebellion.

Even a year and a half after it came out, this is still my favorite one shot. I must've read it a hundred times by now. So damn good.

I agree completely.

You get this sempai-kouhai relationship between the two, as Mami is basically Kyouko's mentor. It's pretty good, plus has a different feeling from Kyou x Saya.

The senpai/kouhai or familial bond is where this relationship is at it's best. That's how they really work. Romance just doesn't fit them.

Looking at it as sisterly bonding, it's a sweet drawing. This is where art of the two are at their best; sharing nice embraces or simply standing side by side.

I fail to see how others would find them together appealing.

Except the latter didn't happen. I saw Bakadomo's usual KyouSaya lovers spat only this time Homu's caught in their hi-jinks. And Homura was teased a lot about her feelings for Madoka.
