Why are all these fantasy isekai always so fucking violent these days? Like no shade against anyone enjoying this particular story, it seems fairly interesting from the chapters I checked out, but I know people who equate the level of brutality in a story to its level of quality and I just don't get it.

It doesn't have to be fantasy isekai where violence can be depicted beautifully; for me I appreciate the amount of artistic effort in depicting human movements anthromorphsized to giant levels (ala Attack on Titan). And to do it well, mixed with "till yuri pulls us apart", is very much a unique take on the genre.

Remember with yen you have to take off two zeroes, so it’s actually less than five bucks American which is really cheap for a whole pizza. Especially one as big as they said that was.

Just go by 1000¥ = $10USD, so while the price of 3980¥ /~$40 seems steep, grocery prices in Japan are somewhat higher compared to other countries, especially fresh meat.

Then again, this might be a non-chain/franchise pizzeria, it is a set price so extras like drinks/nibbles/delivery would be included, or maybe it's the price for two?

At least Miyako is well aware of Asako's spending power as the flyer has a 500¥/$5 coupon on it (savings mode engaged)

Maekawa wants Shimizu to like her as a person, not for her manga smarts. She says "Doesn't that make you sick, that I finished my manga draft than care for you?" She wants that affirmation because she's insecure about the strength of their relationship to the point of automatically assuming Shimizu is flirting with the new OL (even though she was just helping her out on her first day.)

Shimizu tells Maekawa that it's more than just her manga prowess that interests her, that she just gets super crazy about people and their dreams, and the fact that Maekawa can't stop caring about her makes her incredibly happy to the point of loving her.
