So what are the odds that she's lying and the surgery was a success, but that she just really wants to keep kissing anyways

Unfortunately pretty low. That would be a nice way to get some character development whenever that bomb gets dropped. However this is also the chapter where she forgot her phone and was incapable of finding a different phone for an entire week. That was clearly just to build up the cheap drama of there being no contact between them until that kiss.Imagine this chapter where instead of no contact at all Hinata received a few brief calls from Shion (using other people's phones) where she is told there are problems with the surgery, but not to worry and then nothing for the last day or two until Shion appears in front of her. That would be both more believable and would hit a lot harder.

Well this was a pretty good chapter as long as we ignore Ciel's backstory. That thing was just made no sense. There was no mention of hiding the twins away for the first ten years of their lives so everyone would know that Ciel was a girl and that Leo was the firstborn.

Look, Kase has been anything but subtle and tactful in this arc and everything else in this chapter was her bungling around so I don't think she managed to change the terms of the bet. I read it as her adding a new bet to the race. Now being very generous you could view this as her way of maybe convincing her roommate to let her move out even if she loses since she'll then explain she is moving in with her "boyfriend". So essentially this second bet could be a last ditch shot in the event she loses. Still I think that is giving way too much credit to Kase.

Following this arc is still suffering but it looks like Kase is committed to moving out no matter what and probably coming out no matter what so I guess progress is progress.

What? How do you get that? She still hasn't called off the race so I wouldn't call that committed to moving out. As for coming out, this chapter was her tripling down on staying in the closet. Not only did she kept lying about her boyfriend. She also needed to qualify every mention of like, whether it's hers or her roommate's to make sure her roomie didn't think for an instant that she might be gay.
This chapter was Kase completely failing to make progress at anything, as is the norm for this arc.

Man It's getting dangerous for Tae. It looks like she'll soon have two little girls trying to hook up with her.

Well this is annoying. Yamada waves away all the poor decisions Kase has made to instead focus once again on being jealous that Kase is talking about another girl. So neither of them will learn anything from this whole disaster. Which means this will likely just be a huge pile of shallow drama instead of an impetus for some character development. I really hope I'm wrong, but given how poorly this arc has been handled so far I doubt I am, alas.

It's fixed, thanks.

You're misunderstanding Shiho's character flaw. It's not like Shiho runs away from adversity out of angst. Her character flaw is her inability to except she's not number one, and the fact she keeps antagonizing Aki and Yori proves she hasn't changed.

The real tragedy of this chapter is that it showed Shiho starting to grow out of this during her montage of Grave visits. She starts talking about not stressing over missed notes and having more fun and enjoying spending time with the band. She had decided to stop visiting the grave and living in Kyou's shadow. Then whatever it was between her and Aki happened and that all went away. She found out that Kyou thought her music was the best and started up her new band with everybody else who loved Kyou with the express purpose of being the best and living in the past.
So really there was a lot of character development in the chapter. It was just all erased in the same chapter. At least now we know that if Shiho isn't constantly reminded of Kyou she might eventually become a halfway decent person.

On a mostly unrelated note Hima could use with some character development herself so she stops agreeing to ridiculous demands. Her immediately agreeing to be their band manager for life was very cringe worthy after all the trouble her original agreement caused her. Luckily it was a joke since I'm not entirely sure that Hima wouldn't have followed through on her agreement if pressed.

So I've been trying to post my thoughts on the latest Whispering You a Love Song chapter in that forum, but my post gets blocked as spam. How do I stop this from happening?

Kurumi is more insecure than most tsunderes from harem manga. When the first thing Rukiko and Rio does is show off and gush over the marriage rings that should have had some impact on Kurumi's jealousy. This really feels more like a shoe-horned in fake rival than anything with actual depth or thought put into it.

Ugh, so much for any real character development. Future Else is here to keep the status quo going! I honestly would prefer for the actual main characters to be the ones to deal with things. Either by adapting and working within the VS or by figuring out how to oppose it themselves. Not have future/new game+ versions show up and do it for them in the background.

The underlying problem is a tonal one. The VS bullying premise is all about drama and character suffering, but the rest of the story wants to be a fluffy, slightly comedic romance.

Not really a fan of how this is being handled right now, it completely ignores the underlying problem.

I agree. This should have been the conflict that led to Evie fully revealing the villainess system to Elsa so they could start working on countering it. Instead we get a generic "friendship" speech and no character progression.
I'm honestly still rather miffed at Elsa. While she doesn't know the specifics, she does know that Evie is being forced to bully/hurt her and never once thinks about how being forced to do that might be tearing Evie up. But no, all she can think about is much she likes getting bullied by Evie.

Um what was with the ending? They're dating in secret for no apparent reason, but decide to tell their friends anyway. The same friends who spread that Ito was interested in Kagami to the entire school?

Well I'm confused. Apparently none of the events in the past actually happened and the changes to the future just sort happened on their own? At least future Seto didn't act like she had ever met future Nanasawa in the past. I know this story has played fast and loose with the time travel mechanics, but this is a bit much.

So why the heck did Ariel's memory need to be erased in the past? How would erasing the angel's memory help prevent the human from finding out about angels/heaven? Also if a human knowing about angels and heaven is such a bad thing that both the human and angel's memory of the event has to be erased then why are we only finding out about this now? Ariel's superiors were just fine with Ariel and Kirara being in constant contact with each other until this chapter.

The thing that really is throwing me off is that despite being exiled to a small border town, that school apparently has the same uniform as her old school. It is both really confusing and makes it hard to take the exile seriously as it appears to have had no material impact on her.

When will this arc end? It's already over half the length of the entire manga.

That is one shitty landlord. Sending their young daughter to deal with unruly and disruptive tenants is pretty bad on multiple levels.

Minor nitpick, but that's a pretty shitty isolation tank if they can talk to each other while she's in it. They're supposed to be soundproof.
