Wait so she’s killing these guys and getting away with it, how? Are her parents rich AF or smthn? How are these dudes not showing up on the news??

Anywaysss I hope she’s not gonna b fooling with other ppl while she’s dating Mai, cuz damn that’d be crazy

AND I bet Mai would b fine with it too, cuz she has no qualms with smooching a succubus who killed 3 guys

It's established in the story that draining life force doesn't kill people, it just leaves them feeling under the weather

Oh… damn, Im illiterate cuz I fr missed that

yayoi said they took time off, rather than saying they didn't show up for work, so presumably they called in to say they couldn't come in, which is hard to do when you're dead

I lack reading comprehension, my b
I rescind my statement about the succubus being a murderer, however

I hope she’s not gonna b fooling with other ppl while she’s dating Mai, cuz damn that’d be crazy

I 100% stand by this, cuz with the succubus prolly seeing her as a snack, it seems like she’ll continue sleeping with men… which would be crazzzzy

This is the way I see it
Sucking lifeforce - business
Sucking girl spit - pleasure
Nothing personal mate I just need to suck your lifeforce so that I can spend the rest of the night sucking my girlfriend
One must relax after a whole night of life sucking by sucking some pussy

She explicitly says she enjoys the life force of men who are into her, especially greedy ones. However, I'm getting the impression she's less attracted to them and more it's her favorite food. Sexuality is going to be hard to define for an entity that gets multiple biological drives fulfilled from sex; Lily seems to enjoy heterosexual sex, but she has apparently never fallen in love with a man. Can we classify her as bisexual if she just thinks of heterosexual sex as "oh yum, this is a pleasurable way to acquire nutrition"?

Of course not, it's a well known fact that you're required to have been in love with both men and women before you're considered a bisexual, there's even a whole welcoming ceremony and everything. /s

What ever it takes to explain away the possibility of a character being bi, no matter how far of a reach it is or how stupid it sounds, right?

The only way out is for Nanakusa to hook up with Gonda and break the cycle

She reminds me a little of Tamaki from HDWR. I hope she's the endgame (if there is one?)

I appreciate how Matsuri is quite clear-eyed regarding Wakaba. I wasn't sure about her for most of the story because it felt like she knew Wakaba's real feelings were towards Komaki, but still tried to take that "special" place. Maybe it's true, but looking back after this chapter, it's clear that she's truly willing to be as close as possible to Wakaba, without being her special one.

Also, making Wakaba confront her feelings directly. Thank goddesses for wingwoman Matsuri.

On some level it seems like she's hoping for Komaki/Wakaba to implode and then for her to be the one there for Wakaba instead. She's not trying to break them up or anything, but she's wanting to push them to resolve the situation one way or another. This is likely why she came off as pushy or calculated at various points, as she wanted them to move past relationship limbo so she could either take her shot or move on as well.

That she's planning to stay friends in the second case is significant, of course. The chapter establishes Matsuri actually is that nice.

Matsuri is SO sweet. God, to have a handle on your emotions like that and hold back on what you want, just bc you believe the person you care about has something greater they could experience... now that's an example of holding back any darkness inside you to do right by the people you care about. It's HOT!!!

The lip balm thing really soured me on Komaki. I won't say I wish they weren't clearly going to get together quite yet, but I certainly hope there are actual consequences for her. Because if there are none, it'll be really hard for me to accept the relationship.

I feel the same way about the whole lip balm thing. I was starting to like Komaki more and she seemed to be softening up a little and we were getting to see more of more of her actual feelings. But how she acted during that whole lip balm situation felt needlessly cruel and malicious, far beyond what I feel like is forgivable as "someone expressing their feelings poorly". I'd be surprised if they didn't end up together but yeah I'm not feeling that relationship at all anymore.

They're literally on their honeymoon together and Rei is still worried Saya is straight, like girl. Bi and pan people exist you know, and you married one. And another one is commenting this.

On one end it's so frustratingly common in manga to have character say stuff like that, but on the other it did get a laugh out of me. Got mixed feelings about it....

The dynamics between the characters feels weirdly... odd and unnatural. I don't mind the unconventional relationship the ex-boyfriend and the light haired lady, could even be interesting to explore, but the motivation behind maintaining an unconventional relationship like that feels incredibly shallow and hand-wavey.

Honest question: why is "he's fun to hang out with" a shallow or hand-wavey motivation? It's the main reason for friendship in my experience.

(Really glad to see this get a translation again after 2 years!)

It's not necessarily the "He's fun to hang out with" on its' own that feels shallow, it's certainly a valid reason to be friends with someone. But, at least imo, breaking the trust in a relationship by cheating FAR outweighs any level of "fun" that person might bring. If the light haired lady has an unconventional view on relationships and infidelity and "he's fun" being a strong enough reason in her view to outweigh the cheating, I'd expect a much more amicable break up than causing a scene in public. Otherwise it feels like a massive leap going from one to the other and it's not convincing at all as a reader. In my opinion, of course.

It's like the author had an idea about a relationship structure they REALLY wanted to include but completely missed the part where they should've established the foundation for it. We went from "causing-a-scene-in-public" over cheating in one chapter and then acting like it's nbd in the following one, with everything having seemingly been solved off-screen. Feels very meh all around
