Anyway! question: I don't know if this has already been answered but is there a reason why the Precure doujinshi section/tag isn't separated by seasons?

Probably just to keep things simple, plus there's a few that crosses over the series (mostly for comedic purposes).

If you're not familiar with the series, Shirobako is basically about how the girls featured here fit into the animation industry, largely focusing on Miyamori's job at a studio working on two anime series. While some goggles are required in terms of yuriness (mostly picking up in its second half), it is a must watch if you have the slightest interest in animation.

For the sake of flowing narrative, would it be possibly to change the reading order so the extra chapter is in chronological order between chapters 3 and 4?

This one's the currently airing season, Go! Princess Precure. It's got plenty of delightful subtext moments and there's a good consistency in the battle animation so far.

Basically the doujin consists of three stories by different artists and the scanlator only wanted to do the first one. The second is het thing with Erica and the third is a non-H skit involving Perrine.
