The massive similarities between the two Rikkas suggests a sister complex could well have contributed to Touko's dating her, but it would've almost certainly been entirely on a subconscious level.

It's probably more the fact that we ride Rikka-nee's emotional train from blase to "my sister loves me?" to "my sister loves me!" to total heartbreak. If the entire narrative weren't married so closely to her emotional journey, you'd see different reactions(hopefully).

Stalker-senpai makes for a great object lesson about obsessing over fiction rather than taking the time to learn reality. Creepy girl is still creepy, though.

In a way, it can't be helped: fighting games are very technical. I understand what they were going for, but the genre's a tough nut to crack just casually. They probably could've pulled it off with another type of game, but I'm not sure there's anything else that gets to pro-level that involves in-person meetings now that LAN parties are a thing of the past.

I think what struck a chord was how disturbingly realistic it is(it ticks oh so many boxes seen in real child abuse cases far too cleanly). This would probably be less controversial if it were more fantastic(eg, a firm indication that the kid started it unprompted).

If you needed to cut the series to one cour, that's easily as good a stopping point as it gets. As I said before, this series is far longer than it has any right to be(some of the side characters could easily hold their own as protagonists of one-volume series, though).
