I need to know who started this surprise marriage and sibling trope so I know who to blame for such nonsensical manga beginnings. I've lost count of how many times authors have just glossed over something so incredibly strange when a few text bubbles of backstory would have sufficed. Can they just not be bothered to create a scenario that might actually happen, or is this trope just so ingrained that they don't even consider how ludicrous it is?

Pointless rant finished. Actual story is cute, though. Looking forward to this.

I know this trope is used excessively in fiction, but I've yet to actually witness this in real life. Those guys would be verbally torn a few new ones if they tried that where I live. Is this really a thing anyone here has seen or experienced?

I remember when the current yuri landscape included parodies like Strawberry Panic! and outright tragedies like Blue Drop, so the current climate, even with stories that could be seen as "bait," is much more tolerable to me.

Honestly, I rarely let myself suffer even that long anymore. If the first episode doesn't grab my attention and make me think I'll be missing out by not watching more, I'm usually out. On a related note, I think it's been several years since an anime actually made me interested enough to watch all of it.

If I'm understanding the concept correctly, Manaria is OP in the sense that the game will not allow you to defeat her without following a specific, narrow set of rules. Her "power level" is very measurable, but variable, depending on the circumstances.

Just to nitpck, she is called Elizabeth. For what i remember from the game she reacts how you say here if you hit her with Armageddon and do not get killing blow with it, so the fight mostly revolves around surviving and getting her low enough to the point where you can beat her with one Armageddon cast. If memory serves, she follows a set attack pattern and at some point of it she WILL use a skill that will kill you, forcing you to use another specific skill in response that voids all damage for the turn. And she can full-heal herself because why not lol.

Are you sure she's not named Malenia? Because all that sounds like Malenia to me.

Elizabeth is the ultimate boss of Persona 3. Margaret is the ultimate boss of Persona 3 Portable. Unless it's a localization issue, I don't think Malenia was a name in those games.

The forehead shadow, which could mean many things, including disgust, fear, deviousness, and more. It's interesting how it's slanted, though. You can see it also on the wall behind her, which could mean it's only from a banner casting an actual shadow. This creates a situation where it could very well end up being foreshadowing, or a total red herring meant to troll readers.
