If you want to learn about them, the best way is just to read Chinese web novels since the authors are fellow netizens who will subconsciously use those in their works. Web novels are also not as "serious" as traditional books so there's a higher chance of them using memes and stuff. One thing I've seen a lot is [screaming groundhog].jpg that they like to use.

There's also a lot more acceptance of shipping, or their term for it, CP (couple pairing). Real people shipping is even acceptable there, and the entertainment scene is a lot different. There's a lot of terms in regards to that too, like chasing stars, being black or red, rubbing heat, etc. It's honestly really interesting, though I still can't make a weibo so I can't exactly know what's going on there.

This was quite enlightening. When you tally up all the varieties, you realize that it's impossible for women to exhibit nearly any kinds of traits without getting trashed for them. It sorta parallels the whole slut/Karen binary in America as well, where any kind of freedom or individuality is stigmatized. It feels there's simultaneously a sense of cynicism towards women who act sensible, restrained and optimistic, as well as a marked hatred for those that adapt to ruthless workspaces and try to find success. In that sense, these stories about not-really GTBs hooking up with not-really plain honour students are a great way to add depth and variety to representation and break stereotypes. Although all the comments about cancellation make me wonder if this'll manage to stick around.

I agree but also want to include that there's a lot of terms for men too. This is only based on me reading Chinese GL but all the "terms" I've seen aren't one-side. There's "straight male cancer," "scum male," "dude" (not sure if that's even the right translation but it means a rich person who does nothing but play around without contributing anything to society), and other stuff. I do think there's more terms to describe women, but another factor that adds into this heavy amount of terminology is cause of how popular web novels are in China. Transmigration, the Chinese equivalent of isekai, also loooove using descriptors for characters and transmigration itself is a very popular genre.

The most popular ships I've seen, based on Twitter, is Fram x Lord, Lucilicca x Lord, and Astrid x Lord. Astrid is probably my favorite character now that I've finished the hard mode story.

This could've worked if this was longer, but with how short it is and how undeveloped anything to do with the prince is, it just falls flat. Even Shion's feelings for Maria and vice versa didn't actually feel like they were in love, it was more like friendship. Like where's the yuri? It's literally just best friends marrying the same guy so they can hang out together while the guy is being a piece of cardboard that's just there to do his written role with no personality.

It's really disappointing cause I was hoping I'd finally see something that can do polyamory justice but this just felt underwhelming. The polyamory was literally just a punchline.

^ It's basically a mobile game where you play as a monarch who initially had a noble betray them before finding out it was all instigated by a neighboring country. Things start escalating from there as they uncover that the chaos happening around the world is due to a specific country in the far east called Gallus that wants to take over the world. It's not as cliche as it sounds because the reason why that country is doing that is trying to unite humanity, even if it's through tyrannical means, in order to withstand a calamity that's coming.

Honestly the story isn't amazing or anything, but it's very charming imo. It's super idealistic, but I think the heart of the story is the right place so I enjoy it. The actual gameplay is turn-based RPG and you can unlock all the characters without any gacha mechanics. There's units you can buy with straight up cash though, but you don't need those at all since there's really good heroes you can get through "contracts." Basically just login everyday for the amount of time the contract lasts and you'll get the hero.

There's guilds with raid content, a PvP arena, and some other stuff. It's P2W though, at least with the PvP content. The rest of the content you can clear without spending any money, and the arena awards are basically just for getting the currency needed to roll the weapon gacha. You get a lot of that currency just playing though and don't need to get too far in the arena to get a good source of said currency.

It's a good idle game to play, you don't need to be heavily invested and can just play casually.

There's a sizeable amount of WInes shippers and fanart. I personally didn't see much W x Theresa fanart before so who knows if it'd be more popular or not in global.

So I just did 20 pulls and got 2 Phantoms and 1 Cutter. Legit only did that second 10 pull to try and get Cutter and I guess I accomplished my goal. Well, looks like it's time for me to neglect Aak yet again for someone new.

EDIT: On a serious note, her backstory is genuinely super interesting and really hammers the nail in the coffin for the pre-amnesiac Doctor's role in the story. It also gives a deep look at Rhode's Islands's past, which isn't something every operator can say. Also I think it's pretty interesting how people think that W is the thing where you can just recruit villains in gacha, but the actual reasoning on why you can recruit her is really well done.

If you read her character profile + voice lines without even looking at Darknights' Memoirs, there's already a chance to get W brainrot. Literally glimpsed through and read some stuff and now I completely understand why a few people I know simp hard for her. She's like the Itachi of Arknights.

I'm also extremely salty because I got 4 freaking Razor and a Rust dupe instead of the other 4*s in rate up.

Give me those Razors cause I've been trying to get even ONE copy of him but instead I maxed constellations with Chongyun. Like... I literally haven't touched Chongyun since week 1 of the game.

All these mini events... well better than nothing. I hope they have these mini events going on all the time in between real events cause the game is way too boring when there's nothing else to do.

Just put her facing a tile that a lot of enemies go down, she deals wayyy more damage than every other caster and her skill 2 reduces enemy defense while her talent reduces magic resistance from anyone in her range. There's a saying that if Ifrit hits 1 tile, then she's doing her job well, if she hits 2 tiles, she's OP, and if she hits 3 or more tiles, she's a god.

The key to playing Ifrit is just knowing where to position her, but she's not always the best pick for every map because of her high cost and unique range. Other tips to play her well is just have a defender block enemies and have Ifrit facing the tile ahead of the defender so she can hit ~3 enemies every attack.

Every time I see the mangaka tag, I always end up assuming it's either a. happened to the author or b. a self-insert.

I don't think Amiya x W will be popular to be completely honest. Based on the few things I've read about W so far, the only ships that make sense canonically would be her with Flamebringer or her with Ines.
