In the early chapters, I had to keep going back and forth to tell the characters apart. Now, I think all the characters are more fully realized.
I'm very glad I kept reading, and now it's my favourite manga.

It's the same with Mahiro and Mahiru. Even their names are similar, and I just guess each chapter.

adamatari, I think that some people just don't realize. I was like that.
I had very close friendships with girls, and hated when they started to date, and wanted to be around them all the time etc. etc.
I knew about gay people, and stuff, but it never clicked for me that I could be attracted to women. That was for other people, not me, and I'd just be a really good ally and stuff.
Some people do realize when they are younger, but others it takes a little longer, and that's okay. When I realized, I kept trying to be "normal." There's pressure in society, and I was afraid.

^I don't think the fact that "this is a mess now" is at all related to their college life. Some other mangas depict college life really well. I found the first few chapters of the college life arc good.
I do agree this manga should've ended earlier. I don't know. I used to really enjoy this manga, and I have a signed copy of the first book on my shelf. It's one of the first Yuri series I ever read.

I understand miscommunication, but Kase's jealousy and her trying to dictate what her girlfriend wears, and then Yamada continuing to be infantilized to a certain degree caused my opinion of the manga to sour.
I'm still going to keep reading, though and maybe reread some of the earlier manga chapters.
