I think the exposition part was pretty funny. It was very Ichika to respond like that, and also, it makes sense. I'm like pretty sure Shou came up with this idea during a weekend and went with it, given that he was still just only writing chapter 44 and 45 two weeks ago and was already telling fans to be prepared for it to end on ch46 lol

The Marriage tag is too broad, to the point where it's hard to really use it to find things. It's currently used for proposals, weddings and pictures where characters are wearing wedding rings.
I suggest at least making Proposal its own tag.

the afterword explains that the servant and queen don't have a traditional romantic relationship by any means, per se! not really my cup of tea, bc with the context provided, I would've liked more of an emotional aspect to their relationship.

The author develops all of the love interests and one-off interests really well, so I have trouble rooting for Mai after not seeing her for so long. Kinda rooted for Serina a little, but that last bit goes to show that she's really just NSFW fodder, sadly!

I remember reading the original one-shot and feeling not much of anything, so I did not give the adaptation a chance when I saw it first published. Now I feel nothing but anger at my past self

well, you're here with us now! also, don't be too mad at yourself, the author/artist has mentioned before that they changed up the pacing and added a lot more details to the original one-shot images, so I can attest that really made a difference in the pacing and enjoyment of the serialization

I'm pretty sure Yukari is their high school classmate/friend that shipped Kasumi and Sakurako (in her head) all the time. At some point, she even wrote a book kinda about them, iirc. She was an aspiring novelist during hs and eventually became a librarian and publishes books on the side. She had yuri googles on 24/7 but could never tell Kasumi and Sakurako, so that was a bit of the running gag whenever Yukari shows up. Seeing this chapter, she still roots for them and is still worried about their relationship for them haha. So cute!

I love Kasumi and Sakurako, honestly. Probably my top 10 SOL favs on the site.

Kasumi as a lazy bum argument

Kasumi is self aware that she's inherently lazy, but she studied and applied to the same uni as Sakurako, and majored in business mgmt at said uni, and ended up trying for and getting into the same company Sakurako works for. I think given all of that and what readers know of her, she's really given a lot of effort to keep up with Sakurako and their future together. Sakurako is a workaholic so she finds working and doing things a cake-walk, so it's not fair to compare the two. Also, she has plainly said she doesn't mind just trophy wife-ing Kasumi, but Kasumi mentions multiple times to Sakurako and their college friends that she intends to pull her weight (in their relationship) in more ways than one.

I think as a reader, we would be doing Kasumi and the author a disservice by just lumping her character into the lazy bum category without really recognizing all of her efforts and character development over the years, given her base characterization.

Mei x Senpai has been the most uneven if all the relationships, even more so than with Sensei.

In all their interactions Senpai has done what she wants and Mei has just struggled to keep up, they haven't really had much two way communication

BTW, incest cannot cause depression. But there is a minute chance that depression can cause incest.

I don't think either of those directly cause each other in any way, and I don't think anyone is assuming that.

However, I do think Sena has always been a bit neurotic, given her tendencies towards depression and anxiety. She also seems like an overly glass half empty type of person. I do think that the guilt of taking advantage of her sister's kindness and familial love while harboring "taboo" feelings for her ate at her and made her depression worse.

In the end, I think I get what you mean, that perhaps her depression deepened her reliance on her sister and somehow that translated into romantic feelings for her sister. While that seems to have happened here, I'm not sure if I'd go as far as to say depression causes incest... I think depression causes unhealthy dependency issues that don't necessarily turn sexual/romantic though. Some sibling bonds are very strong, and can seem sus to outsiders, but at the end of the day, they usually don't turn sexual or romantic at all. (Technically, this manga doesn't even count as incest because they didn't have sex)
