That chapter really put a new spin on Chapters 10 & 11. Chidori's response to Nanoha's cutely awkward confession isn't just her being shy and half-tsundere (although she is)--she's dealing with the pain of past emotional trauma and bravely taking the plunge anyway.

It also explains why Chidori, although looking like the quiet bookworm type, actually seems to be a bit more knowledgable about (or maybe just aware of) romance/sexual stuff than Nanoha.

So the possibilities for "Igarashi" seem to be:

• Chidori's past love trying to get back together.
• Another, unknown girl at the school with a crush on Chidori (perhaps having discovered that Chidori likes girls via the past love).
• An unknown boy from another school.

The fact that the note is addressed to "Chidori" rather than "Fujimiya-san" strongly suggests that it's #1.

Chidori talking about "her love" not being the same as "their love" is something that makes the possibility of Igarashi being the same one that broke her heart kinda hard to believe. In the note, it clearly states that this Igarashi doesn't just want to be friends with her, so if this was the past love, Chidori wouldn't be saying that.

Dense girls practicing kissing while their practice partner secretly likes them? I've never seen that before.

Next this author will probably blow our minds with a plot about two high school girls falling in love through their club activities.

It's an actual thing called negging some assholes do to pick up girls. Its some sort of backhanded "compliment" in order to manipulate someone into accepting your advances. Needless to say that it doesn't work on most occasions.

I feel the opposite. The open-endedness works very well for the story.

Don't get me wrong here, i liked the chapter and the open-endedness too. I meant to say that it feels like watching those failed pilots on youtube for animated shows. You know it doesn't continue after that one episode, but it feels like the author of the episode intended for more than just the one episode. I don't know if i'm making any sense or not, but thats just how i felt after reading this.

I was on edge the entire time reading this thinking there was gonna be some kind of cruel plot twist. Was it innocent, or was something bizarre and disturbing going on?

It had disturbing vibes with the parental abuse at the beginning, but it ended with something innocent while still maintaining some shady vibes.

Thats true. Mocchi always comes good with the yurincest, but i feel like we're not going to get confirmation of it yet and thats where my uncertainty comes from. Whether i'm going to see it next chapter, or in later chapters.

I almost forgot about that. Yeah, i'd assume that there would be some lite drama regarding that. It would most likely end with a "I promised that we would go on day dates when you got cured" since they never specified how or when the contract would end, or at least i don't think they did

Whats its more likely to happen is: Loli #1 is informed of said experimental drug by her GF Doctor, but she says that its "risky," Loli #1 says that it doesn't matter, she wants to get cured no matter what. GF Doctor is reluctant, but gives in. Drug fails, but it shows some promise. GF Doctor gets dissapointed, but gets reassured by Loli #1 cuz she tells her she believes in her.

I like that the "transformation" would probably be reversed out of jealousy and fear, but not because someone else would find the one who got the makeover cute and try to woo her away, but because the one who did the makeover is a narcissist.

After reading the chapter again, i realized that in this page both of them are showing how each of them are dealing with their feelings through the straps. Touko is trying to put the feelings she has for Yuu away, but ultimately can't and even seems to want to act upon them. Yuu is frustrated with her own feelings so she locks them away, maybe expecting them to just dissapear eventually. I'm pretty dumb and i just thought there wasn't any meaning behind it other than the straps reminds them of each other.

Yeah, Sayaka has developed quite a bit since the comments I recall, and she even spoke to Yuu frankly and fairly about her feelings for Touko later. Yuu and Sayaka aren't exactly in competition either as would be in other manga. And very true.

I wasn't thinking of callous being part of Sayaka's possible attempt exclusively though.

I wouldn't completely rule out Sayaka trying to make a move on Touko, but her being Touko's best friend would probably led to her giving up on trying something once she realizes Touko's in love.

My question right now is whether Sayaka will help Touko or use this troubled time as an opportunity for herself? I like Sayaka and like to think she wouldn't, but some of her prior comments earlier in the manga are a little concerning.

I don't think she would do something like that, besides, this isn't a story where tropes like that happen. I think that Sayaka would be reluctant to help at first, but the lady that works at the coffee shop might tell her that even if she likes her, she has to help her friend out, even if it means she would push her to someone else. Or maybe she just helps her out, but i do think Sayaka would get involved in this whole thing one way or another. We need to see the resolution to her one-sided feelings after all.

I read the “Yuu is no longer special to me” line not as saying “I don’t need or care about Yuu anymore,” but as “I’ve realized that I’m no longer so emotionally fucked up as to believe that only one person in the universe will accept me as I really am.” So Touko still has a bunch of stuff to straighten out in her own head before there can be a happy romantic ending, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it taking more than a chapter or two to work itself out.

Thats exactly how i read it too. Touko herself says that she now sees that she doesn't belong to only one specific place anymore, so her saying that "Yuu isn't special to her anymore" doesn't mean that she no longer cares about Yuu. I mean, in the very next page she says she misses her so i don't know why anyone would freak out.

I think that Sui is acting like a guy cuz she likes girls and feels the need to do that in order to not get "weird" looks from people. You know, cuz Japan is still a little bit behind accepting these type of relationships. That or he's one of those "tomgirl" boys that sometimes appear on shoujo manga and likes his brother or some other guy.

Don't think we're going to get some trans issues on a manga about two girls drawing shoujo manga, but hey, i'll be pleasantly surprised if we do.

I don't like this couple so much, but i feel like i'm going to like it once the dumb girl who the manager cheats on realizes that she likes her friend. Or they're going to keep things as ambiguous as possible and still not care for them.
