Same goes with the Facebook thing, Facebook is immensely popular in Japan as well. Instead of using FB, they opt for the term SNS ( Social Networking Sites)...

Why would they change these things?
Cultural thing? Convenient thing? Censorship thing?

I have a feeling that in the Japanese version, rather than just being a direct translation of the original story, they actually changed the setting of the story such that it is actually be occurring in Japan rather than in Korea, and the characters are actually Japanese. I mean, they did rename No-rae and Seol-a (and likely everybody else) with Japanese names. If the story didn't take place in Japan, why would their names be in Japanese? Can anyone confirm whether they changed the setting?

But anyway, my point is, if they did change the setting, then seeing as there is no mandatory military service in Japan, they had to change that story point.

As for the Facebook thing, it could be that trademark laws are different in Japan, so that was done out of necessity or precaution. I don't know much about Japan's copyright/trademark laws, but I did notice that in the Japanese version of Wikipedia, articles very rarely include pictures of... anything. For instance, in the article for a book or TV series or movie, you wouldn't see any pictures of the cover or anything related to it. I would assume that the laws for using copyrighted stuff is far stricter.

As an aside, in case someone wants to know, these are their names in the Japanese version:
Kim No-rae --> 加奈リア Kana Ria
Baek Seol-a --> 白雪由紀 Shirayuki Yuki

I don't know what to think of this. The art is well done, and the characters seem interesting. The story on the other hand? I don't know... I personally have the feeling nothing happened so far and I'm somewhat missing the "yuri" element.

It's a "slow burn" for sure, especially compared to the pacing of the average yuri story.

If you're rather looking for "instant gratification yuri", then you may want to look elsewhere...

But if you like more in-depth character development and backstories, you may enjoy this.

Personally, I only got confused maybe once or twice in the early chapters. YMMV

But honestly, I think it'll happen much less later on, as the author ssamba does not make a habit to introduce a zillion random new characters.

A lot of his/her work is for 探虚陵 or 探虛陵 (tàn xū líng). From what I can tell, it is a series of historical yuri novels. It would appear that he/she is the author and he/she makes the art for the books. (I might be wrong though.)

Very observant! Then do you know how long has it been since they met each other and since Norae found out her feelings?

They met on the first day of the fall semester, which is either late August or beginning of September.

As for when No-rae realized her feelings, which was in Chapter 27, that was likely in October or November, since September would've been too early, and December too late.

We know the MT was from Chapter 17 to 19, so it was sometime after that (possibly very shortly after). Does anyone know when MT's usually occur? Near the beginning of a semester or in the middle?

I would assume MT's would be in the middle of the semester, after midterms, so the MT would've been in late October. So my best guess is that Chapter 27 was in the first half of November. No-rae running away and Seol-a chasing her to Gyeongju, Chapter 32 to 35, was a week after that, so that would've been in mid to late November. The first snow of the year in Seoul usually occurs mid-December and was in Chapter 37.
