^Gudako is only in the short episode adaption of the gag comic, and the couple of comedy episodes. Unfortunately she's never been used in an actual chapter adaption or anything thing serious, no movie or actual series. She's the MC used for comedy animations and that's basically it outside of the occasional 15-30 second game trailer, and I really want her to get an actual anime chapter adaption where she's the MC.

I will say that she has been allowed to be the MC for some of the manga adaptions, which honestly makes it weirder that she's not allowed to be the protag for an actual anime...

I'm scared but curious to see where this goes, I hope there's a happy ending but it's feeling more horror than anything right now lol

Well someone has to throw Miki under the bus xD... author clearly did it and girl needs to get over her sister.
Like I get it at some extent. It was pretty annoying when people were saying that Shiho was acting like an inceI, and I understand the feeling about not wanting to see that under every chapter, but nah, please no more incest trope in my sasakoi. Idc if I'm having double standards about fictional pixels here.

Also, there's so many mangas/animes that portraits incest as a valid love that I think people should be vocal about not wanting to see that on sasakoi. Just that...smoke is bad, yeah, but they keep selling cigarettes because a lot of people like smoking and buys it regardless a lot of people complaining. Like seriously I saw some disturbing incest ships and is way too normalized in all kind of fandoms....this could b my ‘that friend that's too woke moment’ xD.

And yeah that's an argument in my books, even if in my original comment I just wanted to make a joke but Hoot took it in the wrong side. sorry that I can't express myself better or with less words, because english is not my language.

I think we're very different in mindset ultimately, and that's fine. It sounds like you mostly want your media to be very pure and clean, free of messy elements of humanity. Fair enough and there's a lot of people like yourself. For me though there's various taboo elements in media that I think can be interesting additions to a story. I know how to separate reality and fiction as an additional factor. Plus I think there's far bigger things in life to worry about than incest in a fictional story, or judging people for incest shipping fictional characters.

Ultimately I think this arc was messy, but the incest element to me was simply one of those complicated feelings some people experience. I thought despite the messiness it was interesting to read about Miki's struggles with her feelings, and that's not going to change no matter how much people tell me that incest is bad. The people that hate incest and other taboo elements being included in media will continue to hate them regardless of my input as well. So there's not really anything else to say here, we've reached the conclusion.

Ah, and of course saying that Miki deserves love and kindness also does not constitute a defense of 'incest'. She has not committed any crime, and there is no reason to assume her inappropriate feelings for her sister (which she wants to get over) make her any more dangerous to Aya than the average girl from their school is.

I'm tired of seeing incest as a trope in manga/anime in general. I can't tell if it's always just for melodrama, or if authors/editors feel like it's a necessary addition to some stories. I don't care if it's Miki or some other character I'm just sick and tired of seeing it. It only tanks my opinion of a character/author/series.

As someone who is also a Fate fan this feels funny to read with your profile icon. Especially when a lot of the incest elements in Fate come from really old European mythology and stories. A lot of historical fiction has incest because incest is a huge part of real human history. It comes up in various media across the world because humans are so complicated and messy no matter where you are.

Actually I'm kind of glad people are skipping this arc and are being vocal about not wanting incest on their favorite fictional stories when is so unnecessary and it shouldn't be normalized compare incest with same sex attraction as this endless speech about all kinds of love/attraction being valid or being similar experiences. Incest is very harmful even if Miki is not acting on it...Aya was unrealistic compressive about all that fiasco, and yeah, she's going to fix Miki...or I hope so.

Well at the end Miki's attraction/love for her sister served no purpose to her development as character or the story an was so far from the main characters to even matter, she didn't get over it or acted on it to cause some drama (even if was so against it).

Anyways, I believe Hoot was saying that they're tired of hearing the same "X thing is bad" statements repeated over and over. Another example of this is every time I open up a piece of art or a story where a character is smoking I see so many "smoking is bad" comments. Yeah we know, and yet people smoke, there's portrayals of people smoking in media, we don't need to be reminded constantly that smoking is bad lol

I thought it was an interesting start and I'm curious to see where it goes. With the focal girl being so focused on purity, and her religious upbringing cracking under the pressures of puberty, partly brought on by seeing things she thinks she's not supposed to see, and how that awakens thoughts in her that she doesn't know how to handle.

^I think the protag of NIKKE is fixed to be male...? If I'm not mistaken. Also maybe Azur Lane but my memory is hazy. I know the new and upcoming Azur Lane game lets you choose your protag though. Which I read that it led to some of the fandom trying to make them take out the female protag, because they think their male protag will get less fan service if there's also a female protag. Reading that made me cringe so hard >_>

Honestly, the constant finger wagging about the entirely one-sided incestuous feelings, which the character clearly wants to get over, is kind of getting old in general.

And this. It would be one thing if she actually acted on these, but seeing how she's trying to let go as well, there really is no reason to be so hard on her...

Genuinely she deserves kindness and understanding. She's not some kind of inhuman monster and she deserves to be loved. Humans have many different kinds of complicated feelings and thoughts regardless of if they should exist or not, nobody is perfect and being human is a messy weird experience.

If we're talking about gacha anime adaptions I still want Lumine in Genshin's supposedly still upcoming adaption, but I'm unfortunately not holding my breath. I also wish we'd get a chapter of FGO adapted with Gudako as the protag >.>

@colboh: With games specifically I think most Miyoho games let you choose your protag/gender, along with FGO, Endfield (upcoming), notably Path to Nowhere the female protag is picked over the male protag by overwhelming majority from what I've heard. There are various others as well.

^It's an understandable frustration, and it's something that's definitely more present with men though people on all sides can unfortunately do that kind of thing. Anyways, if you're looking for Love Live doujins I'd recommend searching what this website has since Dynasty is F/F centered, there's a lot of great ones on here that depict relationships between the cast members. Also it sounds like you were looking on hentai doujin websites, and well if you were to look more on those kinds of websites I'd recommend searching the following 3 tags together, "Love Live" + "Yuri" + "Females Only". That 3 tag combination should find better results, and I especially urge people to use "Females Only" as sometimes the Yuri tag is used inappropriately and poorly on that kind of website.

I definitely think that's hilarious as well. That's part of why I don't find myself very mad or annoyed by this arc I think, I just think it's overall very funny. Sure it's the weakest arc in the manga in my opinion, but oh well we're through it and moving on to hopefully better things lol

The story plays with pushing the boundaries of consent at the very least. So I think Dubious Consent is a good tag to have here, as it gives people a heads up with what they're getting into.

I suggested the addition of "Dubious Consent" for this chapter, I can see why it's making people uncomfortable. I wouldn't go as far as calling it rape, though I would say it's definitely on the rougher end of toxic sex.
