In Kiniro, the humor isn't as strong as to make it stand on its own without the romance/subtext. The foreign theme takes a back seat rather quickly. If you remove the yuri subtext, what's left of Kiniro?

Pastel art design and oddly childish characters

Is KinMoza subtext? It's not actually ambiguous

So, on this season: Re-Kan and Mikagura continue as they started. Euphonium is strikingly gay for something people insist won't be yuri; like, there's a random girl declaring her love for another, and something like half of Asuka's lines are flirting. Pleiades spent it's second episode building up the yuri subtext, to the point that the one guy was giving relationship advice

Go Get A Roomi is pretty heavy on lesbians and alternate sexuality in general. Is a fun read

I recall Misfile building up an f/f romance, but it was so slow going I gave up on it years ago

Interestingly, the latest episode has her courting that new teacher

...The number of meaningful differences between Karen and Kongou keeps dropping...

So Mikagura is pretty ok. Not sure if the yuri is actually going to go anywhere, though

Houkago no Pleiades has some clear Pink x Cyan subtext. I suspect it's setting up a bisexual love triangle (though the male in question is so effeminate I wouldn't be surprised if he's actually a cross-dressing girl). That said, the show itself isn't great

About Euphonium, if what is being said in /u is true, I wouldn't hold many hopes for any yuri.
Seems to be that in the source material the protagonist ends with the male romantic interest.
And being KyoAni I don't hold many hopes for surprise yuri either.

That's weird, though, since KyoAni has never really been known to obfuscate the romantic pairings in their anime. Given that they're not known for being particularly faithful in their adaptions, either, I wouldn't be surprised if they cut down that particular plotline and left things ambiguous

KanColle lets you get duplicates of the girls. This is quite plausible

So, uh, Euphonium. There's guys around, but none of them seem to be romantic interests. And the ED is actively shipping the main character with another girl

Unlikely. From what I've read off other yuri fans (Just in case, there is a cross ange repeat, some fellows chipped in to confirm) who read the Re-kan 4-koma, there is no such thing happening with that "interest" and the female leads. At the most, one of the supporting girls might be paired up that way.

Good to hear

why would anybody even care if the admiral went missing? She's fucking useless.

Yeah, KanColle's last few episodes were filled with crap that came out of nowhere like that. I think the show we got was frankensteined from a few different script drafts

Oh crap the Digimon sequel thingy is right around the corner...I don't know what to think...

It isn't, really. We have no airdate for it

Also I got my eye on Re-Kan but it seems, according to someone who told me that in 4chan they were saying (...) that the male guy who appeared for 5 seconds in the first episode is later a love interest, (this anime is based in a 4koma manga), which I STRONGLY DOUBT btw, dunno if I should believe them, I like it ... I want to enjoy it friendship or subtext but not romance.

Plausible, but not something I'd worry about too much at the moment. Even assuming they're not screwing with you, we don't know how they're defining "love interest", or if the anime will even get that far

Nanoha ViVid and KinMoza are about what you'd expect in the yuri department. Kind of worried about ViVid, though; doesn't seem to have much budget, which'll be a problem once the fighting starts in earnest

SHOW BY ROCK!! does give the lead a clear female love interest. Less clear on a male love interest. SHOW BY ROCK!! is also very strange

Not yuri (entirely aromantic thus far), but Kekkai Sensen is the series to most impress me thus far

So, Re-Kan is about as gay as you'd expect from a 4koma adaption. The second-most prominent character is blatantly tsundere for the lead

Also, DanMachi's male lead is strikingly emasculated, so if you're one of those people that liked to pretend that Witch Craft Works is yuri that might be something to look into

So, any series with Yuri on the next season?

Lots of maybes, mostly

Re-Kan is the requisite CGDCT series, but I have no idea how much subtext it has
Nanoha ViVid should be pretty gay if it's anything like the manga
SHOW BY ROCK!! focuses on a girl band, but has pretty boys in the background, and as such could go either way
KinMoza's second season should be like the first
Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku has a female lead that apparently gets lots of ship tease with both males and females
Hibike! Euphonium is about a girl trying to reconnect with her female childhood friend
Houkago no Pleiades looks like it's going to have a het romance for the lead, but, as a magical girl series aimed at older fans, may well have some yuri between the other girls
Etotama has 13 female characters and looks like it's going to be parody of anime in general, so I'd expect yuri to come up at some point
Urawa no Usagi-chan is another CGDCT series
Robot Girls Z+ should have some light yuri if it's anything like the first season

One thing I would note is that sequels, spinoffs, and the like being created to a large part depends on the creators wanting to make them. With there being very obvious room for expansion here, it may not necessarily need to set the world on fire

I can vouch for the Mori subs being fine

I watched it now and it's pretty gay indeed, but not gay enough! They're never gay enough dammmit! And I sure hope that Haru and Eri are dating in the end, it's made by the director of Sakura Trick after all so it's possible.

It's not like they were subtle about which way Haru swings, and Eri was okay with sharing a bed with her...

do they ever make anime from short animations or ova like that?

It's fairly common. OVAs are often a way of gauging interest in a full series. In theory, this shouldn't be the case with Anime Mirai, but even then it wouldn't be the first

Does it have any male character that could in the future become a love interest?

No. Not that it matters, since this was a complete story. If it gets turned into a series I'd expect them to start over

It's out, it's good, and it's pretty gay. Not openly romantic, but it's not at all hard to read Haru and Eri as dating by the end

I agree with everyone else. I couldn't really like this one since Akagi felt waaay off. Sure there technically aren't really "canon" personalities, but based on how Akagi is usually written, it just wasn't her. (Although has that changed since the anime came out?)

Mind, the anime isn't exactly canon either. But it used a fairly standard serious version of Akagi. Think To Your World

Serious akagi for once huh? but then again its au story, why not? it's happen all the time with touhou doujins, like some people who likes meiling as serious character or goofy characters both works fine depend on the story, yeah its up to the author to write anything they want

It's just that when you have an alternate setting and highly atypical characterizations you have to wonder what the point of it being a fanwork is

Heavy%20cruiser%20160

Not bad, but one of those stories that makes me wonder why it isn't an original
