From the "preparing for" vidyas on YT this round of CC is Push Specialist heaven, at least the permanent stage because lol booster tile and lava squares. (The "AK is now an action game" omega flex run from CN I linked whenever earlier is from that one.) The previous rule of thumb about the value of alternative sources of healing (eg. heal-defenders, Myrtle & Ange passives etc.) for those pesky Medic ban conditions presumably also holds.

Oh yeah LMD is definitely the single biggest bottleneck. Get in the habit of farming the Cargo Escort stages and try to get your base set up churning out Precious Metals and the tradepost contracts for them.

Worth specifically mentioning that you can recycle excess Operator tokens into certificates and distinctions from the big yellow "Token" ribbon at the lower left of that store tab. It's not exactly readily apparent ingame and it took me months to stumble onto it - pretty sure I missed at least one Operator I'd gladly have bought with Distinctions due to that. :c

Bonus points for yoinking Crownslayer that way, as she's fully susceptible to push/pull abilities (for gr8 memery).

Memery shenanigans aside Shift Specialists aren't super useful in stages without environmental hazards to exploit, but the pushers (Shaw and FEater) can moonlight as AoE guards and also shoo away enemies you don't want to let into melee range for whatever reason. One worthwhile candidate that does come to mind is Red WeebsHateful Avengers because the offense buffs those guys get at under half health are pretty brutal.

Pack hunters in particular would beg to disagree not in the least because for them it's a race to get their bellies full before their pals gobble up everything. And the solitaries also subscribe to the "expend no more effort than required" policy - if it's practical to start eating before the meal has stopped struggling, they will.

Birds at least have the valid excuse that most of them lack the means to dismember prey to begin with (ie. suitable mouthparts for tearing and limbs for grasping) so they need to swallow it more or less whole anyway, and since their prey items are usually very substantially smaller than themselves it tends not make much difference how dead those are. Most predatory fish operate similarly (they usually just de facto inhale their targets), sharks being a notable exception with rows upon rows of slicing teeth to tear chunks off with.

A lot of things do, tbh. Predators in general only bother with killing their lunch first if they have a real reason to (ie. it'll fight back too much or they have to take it apart anyway to get it down their throats).
