Ahhh now it makes sense. I initially thought Sanae's mother was Suwako's daughter and that her God half made her able to live long and that Sanae was thus her granddaughter but the flashback stuff confused me.

I feel like she created this "boy" side to her as an explanation for her feelings - As she couldnt see a girl liking another girl, didnt think it was truly possible and so created another self to provide a reason. But maybe am wrong?
