WHAT THE FUCK? YOU'RE TELLING ME TAMA WANTS TO FUCK HER FUCKING FATHER? WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE SUBTEXT BETWEEN TAMA AND CATGIRL? Alright, I was considering continuing this series, but... I'm gonna wait now to see what comes of this. That said, it's still super fucked up even if it ends in a yuri way... I mean, I haven't read it, of course, but "Oh, I need to love my dad romantically to really act as the mother of my sisters!" makes absolutely no sense to me. What was the author thinking...

I won’t put it that way, but yeah it does feel like she was going through puberty and in a fair bit confused with the situation. Like in some way it’s amusing and added to her character considering that she is so logical and so clear about every other things in her life. It does make you realising that she is just an immature teenager at the end of the day.

The clearest sign of it was her trying to convince herself and the catgirl that it was her father who gave her mixed signal and made a move on her (worried sign: she looked content with that thought). Despite it was quite clear to us readers that she was the only one who made the move, while her father was shellshocked as fk

I will still recommend to read it through. You may inteprete things different from us. And certainly that uneasy feeling slowly creep up and end with a wtf moment. It is still a unique experience.

Either way, read it for Shino. She grew up a bit now and Hime x Shino moment was adorable as fk :D

The way I see it:

Tama really love him as a daughter wwould, but she really feel like she need to love him as a mother to really become the mother of the household instead of the weird in between she thinks se is stuck as. But as they discuted, the only who can cross the line is the fathet, and seeing how horrified the father looked like, I don't it will happen anytime soon, and maybe it will actually serve as a wake up call for him

Worse case scenario, nothing will change because I don't think the author want really bad thing to happen to their main character and them getting together would be one of the most fucked thing to happen in this manga, and in manga with thing like a secret alien invasion going on in the background, that really something (And I still think cat girl is the end game, the author like yuri too much to end tjis like that !). Best case scenario, he fucking grow a spine and change thing for the better.

I really don't want to argue for het but...

If we take Tama talking about her loving his useless artist persona as her honest desire. Then it actually would be consistent with what happened in the much earlier chapter. The one where she went to a shrine client to take care of the cursed box, and then came home seeing him cooking meals for his kids( before berating him for being a bad father and a worthless artist because he try to be both). Back then I thought she was trying to get him to quit being an artist and focus into becoming a good father instead.

But what if she was trying to get him to quit being a father, and really just focus on painting instead. Because that is the persona of him that she (romantically?) love?? Ah FUCKKKK... I can't unknow it now.... Because then it would also be consistent with the whole 'regardless whatever happened, I am still like a mother for those kids now'. The only difference then would be whether he will be anything more than a father for her

Fk me.

I agree with you though that the het unlikely will mount to anything. And I hope it's just a phase for her. Maybe the perfect Tama is just that slow when it comes to romance and it will grow out of her, and she will embrace yuri toward the end....

But that chapter 99 conversation, the way she try to convince herself and the cat girl that it was him who is trying to make a move on her, and content with the thought of it ... is worrisome. At least like you mention, the ball now on his court ... and for the love of the goat, take that ball and burn it with fire. Don't even think about returning it

PS: on another topic, sorry Nozomi but i'm on team centaur x centaur now. Ayaka, Hime's junior rival is just too awesome . Meanwhile Hime x Shino are just too cute....

Satou got hit hard by Shouko’s death. I feel like at this point Satou is the one who valued their friendship more than Shouko was.

I means.. Satou is crazy. But normally she didn’t even bat an eye when it comes to killing people. This time though, she is depressed

Wait, what the fuck? What exactly happened to the Tama/uh whoever that other girl is ship? I'm pretty sure those two were in a subtle relationship, weren't they? Please don't tell me this ship got sunk...

Not entirely got sunk. But it is showed that Tama acted very needy and possessive toward a guy. And there was a very very suggestive moment ended up being cut short by chapter ending...

Like... I was afraid that they were going to do lewd things off screen right there. And I guess the author simply want to let reader’s imagination running wild. But thank God by the next time Tama appeared on screen, apparently nothing happened then. At least that is what I hoped

It’s fked up though. Like... real fked up. Need cat girl or anyone to save the day. Hime... use your centaur power.... save our best girl from the corrupted path with the power of yuri!!

I think is just an extension of whole 'Become the new mommy' thing. The fact that they kinda acknowledged how fucked up that was probably mean it's never going to go to far. Cat Girl need to up her game tough !

It almost a trope for the perfect girl who is good at everything, to fell for a dead end relationship toward the most hopeless untalented individual. Almost a Greek tragic by itself. I means... i hope it’s just an extension of the ‘becoming the mother’ thing like you said. But she clearly quoted it as if it will happen regardless of the later...

I wish that ‘it is just a phase’ thing, but hard to claim that when we are shipping yuri couples left and right.

Cat girl is freaking useless. But hey Tama is into useless individual who shows passion. God damn it, play your part!!!

PS: during the conversation with cat girl, Tama sounds like she was so desperated for his affection that she mistook whatever he did as ‘mixed signal’. But I don’t think that guy showed any romantic feeling toward her, isn’t he?

Agh... i’m so jealous... No perfect angel girl who hopelessly fall in love with you. Why live?

Vol 13 got on several gay couple. A bit background on Inukai and Mitsujo (the side lesbian couple). Nozomi’s cousin and her ‘super best friend’, returned hinting with a bit of gayness. And the dragon girl, well, is completely thirsty for a certain someone

In term of yuri casualty, we lost Tama-chan though. Our angelic class president. Am I imagining things or she did have deep affection toward that guy? Like... it... is amusing, but is kinda fked up

Stories about Atantica people are just so surreal

Yeah, it just threw it right in your face by now.

Ucchi for example does not even skirt with subtext anymore. And in one of the latest chapter, a character was commenting about how Yuri in relation toward Tomoko was the same way girls were toward boys that they interested in.

Yeah these two really belong to each other. Like... they can't fit each other better

Now we know why Komaki willing to hang out with Shun's despite Shun's constant annoying advance (from our POV). Because Ms. Komaki demand 100% submission, and Shun will beg on her knees to surrender herself to Komaki

Watching Comic Girls, and my biggest problem with it is... there are no shipping line there.

Like if any of the four girls can be gay toward each other, then there would be no stood-out moment to fuel my gaydar. How could I ship Ruki and Kaos, if they acted kinda gay toward the other two as well?

A lot of people really enjoy it. The fact that it's presented as being more fun instead of serious and dark seems to make it more accessible to a lot of people. And easier for some people with similar experiences to be able to identify with without it just making them feel bad. I certainly don't find much cringe in it at all, personally.

Especially not compared to something that wallows in its cringe, like watamote.

It might be failing to do it to your taste, but it's succeeding at it pretty well in general. The comics are selling well enough and have already had additional printings.

Watamote has been getting great recently though.

Thank to yuri. Like... I feel the yuri aspect of it saved Watamote

Satou cut ties with Shouko, not the other way around. And its not like Shouko knows that. Betrayal is still possible.

Uh... Shouko definitely does know that Satou doesn't think of her as a friend, since Satou told her right here.

In any case, I just think it would be incredibly unreasonable to question that a kid trolling the streets night and day searching for a girl and putting up missing posters would be making the whole thing up. Also, she looks exactly him. They're obviously related.

Sure there are a bunch of weirdos in this world, but it seems like only Satou has met so many of them. Shouko has clearly had a normal life, and any normal person in this situation with the evidence she's seen would jump to the (correct) assumption that Satou had kidnapped that girl. Having arrived at that conclusion, sending a picture as soon as possible to the poor brother letting him know his sister is alive is just the right thing to do.

Sending that picture turned out to be the smart decision too, since she ended up getting fucking murdered by Satou. If she hadn't sent that picture, Asahi would never have found out who Shio was with or even that she was alive.

Sorry can't agree on most of the stuffs you are saying here.

Look aside, because everyone in this manga is kinda looked like each other. The only reason that you can trust a homeless guy with very unstable mindset trying to search for a little girl is if (as Shouko's case) she blindly fall in love with him. No one with a sane mind running away from home and spending months searching for his sister. Most will either depend on the authority, go to school or have a proper part time job, try to keep their life afloat so they can welcome their sister back if one day they found her. Even from a legal POV, the correct action would be to take Shio away from both Satou AND Asahi (and their mother) and let her being adopted by a 3rd party.

On Satou's motive. Let's say, your good friend was known to live in an abusive household. Suddenly she moved out from her abusive home, took in a kid from somewhere, and started to become a productive member of society. Your first thought would be (and should be), 'oh, she see herself through this kid and want to make up for her'.

If you trust your friend, your first thought should be "there must be a reason for this". Not "oh , holy crap what is the worst interpretation of this that a homeless guy i know told me about"

I'm hoping Shouko isn't dead, the wound at least didn't seem too deep, so I'm hoping perhaps Satou just did enough to knock her out. Or maybe destroy her voicebox, so she couldn't talk. I feel like I'm hoping too much, but I just want her to not be dead.

Sorry mate, I was hoping on that as well, but with that much blood loss and Satou’s more concerned about ridding off the evidences (taking off her clothes and such), Shouko is as dead as I could be.

Satou need to have some real medical skills and blood supply to even stabilise Shouko would, and then immediately get her an ambulance to the hospital. Even an ass-pulling will involve Satou and Shio on the move while an ambulance arrive on scene

Romantic interest aside, she was trying to help someone who was missing his sister. Regardless of our feelings and ships, based on what's shown so far, she believed she was doing the right thing for both parties. She wanted to reunite a family as well as stop her friends from falling deeper into these holes they dug themselves. I don't think she loses any sympathy points for trying to do the right thing.

She is trying to help someone who told her a story without any proof by snapping a picture real quick, texting him and then lying to her "dear friend". She was real quick to backstab Satou and then lie to her face about it. She isnt trying to help Satou, she clearly saw Shio happy and healthy and yet didnt even confront Satou about taking in a lost child before assuming the absolute worse. Was she right? Yeah, but she didnt know that.

Kinda agree with this aspect of Shouko’s betrayal

Despite Satou certainly was showed to be much more stable individual and a more reasonable member of society. In fact Shouko could see that Satou has turned into a better person than the girl who flinged around in relationship that she once knew. Seeing a happy Shio should also give a much stronger warning signal that things could be better as it is.

However she took Shiou’s brother (Asahi) side instead. Even if she trust his story completely (and he is not a pedophile, or just abusive individual), it could be seen clearly that Shio life will not be better off over there. A mother who showed no care toward both her children. A brother who is unstably obsessing with searching for his sister as his only reason to live. Who can’t even take care of himself, much less of another younger sibling. And she want to return Shio back to that family?

So if she didn’t do it out of spite toward Satou. Or out of best interest toward Shio. Or best interest toward Satou even. And she is not the type who believe blindly in justice.

Then there is only one reason for her to backstabbing on Satou, and that was in her romantic interest toward Asahi.

And unfortunately in this manga that choice means death.

Let’s be honest here, knowing Sato, her killing of Shouko is completely logical.

The fact that Shouko took and sent the picture without discussing the option with her. Then was only appealing to Sato’s trust on her afterward (something which she already lost through the aunt arc). Yes, there is no other way for Sato but to take her out.

Sato’s tuition also was correct, as it is confirmed that Shouko will tell on Sato to Shio’s brother, who may involve the polices in with such clear lead. Running away will not be a sure safe option, with everything Shouko already knew

I mean to Sato’s unstable mind, Shio’s being protected by her worth more than everything, even her own moral code ( the whole “killing is wrong”). That is what’s wrong with Sato. Everything else she did was simply just logical

Emoji is best girl no doubt. The denial she had while sniffing and playing with Tomoko hair while call it disgusting (Kimoi. Kimoi) :)

Yuri is probably the cutest out of them though, and potentially has the best chance if she really is serious

@A5PECT: Tomoko isn't definitively gay? She take every chance she get to stare at girls' underwear, groping them, or sniff at their clothes. And don't forget the chapter where she was in trance starring at Nemo's naked butt inside the onsen.

If she is not gay, then I'm not into woman really.

I think the gayness only start to pick up later, so won't recommend the anime.

But yeah Tomoko is basically one of those (literally) loser main protagonist, who somehow is also a chick magnet. And despite constantly trying to be popular with guys to fit the norm, she's gay as hell too
