Chapter 22: Last page reminds me of English equivalent to “Inner Demon(s)”… something(s) holding her back in achieving her dreams. She really hated going back home for it was the source of holding her back. I don’t think she’ll willingly go back home, ever again.

Dunno, I think going back her was a very good thing for her tbh. Having to face going back and her past seemed to have a good outcome for her, where she found(/found again?) something that drives her art forward. Having something you want to draw is very important imo. It seems to have been a good introspective occurence for her. She doesn't really have any reason to go back home again, but I don't think she would have strong feelings against going back for a visit.

i wonder if any fights over otps ever get this serious

BL fandoms tend to fight over who's the bottom and who's top in a relationship like this, it's very much real.

Seriously though, OTP order fights are scary. I've seen fandoms war within themselves over this, it was both hilarious and terrifying to watch.

However, I just noticed that BL fangirls fight about this much more than GL and het.

This chapter really subs me the wrong way like crazy. Might just reread the whole manga to reaffirm my feelings on nanase and mary because I don't know what to think right now.

Very mixed feelings about this chapter. I don't really want to feel bad for Mary or Nanase after the previous events. I also don't really like how this chapter panned out, I don't mind too much them being friend but the way it happened kindof bothers me. Dunno.

Did you all forget even the young MC is still a raging pervert? She just doesn't/didn't have the confidence older one does. She isn't any more precious than the older version, she just hasn't gotten to the groping yet.

While Tong tong mom isn't a great mother by any means she's not particularily bad either. She isn't there all that much but is very supportive of tong tong, although in clumsy ways. On the other hand Xiao Lu's mother is straight up terrible imo. That kind of parent generally don't care for their children as individual people as much as they care for them as a preconcieved idea. She has her idea of what Xiao lu should be and do and will not accept anything else, that's not caring that's controlling. I might be making a reach here, but she probably cares more about not having a failure of a child that'll bring her shame than Xiao lu's happiness in life.

I hope it was about Yuka but I also don't feel like it was about her.

I like the art, not much to stay about the story. I didn't notice at first but the petals turning pink is a nice hint that it'll end well.

I love Tong Tong’s mom so much, she’s so kind and supportive of her daughter despite being neck deep in heterosexuality, and although her initial plan based off of copious amounts of het romance novels didn’t work out I think she’ll keep trying and get better at supporting her daughter.

I think it would be funny if next chapter involved her reading a bunch of lesbian romances or maybe trying to find a lesbian bar to ask for advice. Who knows maybe she’ll awaken something in herself while she’s at it (or not more likely) but it’s still so wholesome to see her trying so hard to support her kid.

I think the hair decorations are different between reality and "Beniko and Sora" (Empty vs Filled, Scrunchie vs String?). Rereading it that way, it looks like the real Saku never left her notes for Kasumi to see. There are some tricky transitions in there!

This should be on a notes page, for those of us who are too dense to figure it out for ourselves. Also, having re-read the story with this information to hand, I spotted that Kasumi has a mole by her right eye, while Sora doesn't (though I don't think knowing that actually makes any difference).

Someone else noticed the mole heh. It's the one thing that gave me the hint on reread, I absolutely didn't notice the acessories change

It is breaking boundaries but sometimes breaking the boundaries someone has set is the thing to do to get them out of their shit. Here the romantic interests muddies the water in terms of should it be done or not, but left alone MC clearly isn't heading in a very healthy direction. I've been depressed for years and have been living alone for roughly 10 months now, my appartement turned into a literal garbage dump and I'm barely bothering to feed myself. I don't have a single friend irl either. If I did have one I'd clearly set boundaries for them to not interfere with how I live and want to be left alone, but it still prolly would be a good thing for someone to force my stupid ass to see the sun for once and or not let myself literally fucking decay. Even if Kiku doesn't have the purest intentions she's doing a pretty good thing for MC so far. If it turns into some dependency shit later on then that'll be a separate discussion.
