Aizawa did betray that quick decision they took, but she did start by apologizing to Misumi, because she just couldn't bear the weight of the lie. Things were going waaaay too smoothly, she literally started feeling like a smooth criminal, lol!

When I saw this in MD, I was too nervous, there was no escape and I knew she wouldn't be able to walk out of that with a lie, that's not how she is... and then she confessed the truth. You know what I did? I quickly changed tabs lo/ then I saw a music cover from Hololive, talked with a friend, walked out of my room and had some water.

But I knew that I had to face it, I had to see things through once and for all!! it has been teased for months of cliffhangers, So I just went for it, SCROLLED DOWN AND BANG that's when I realized that it was actually the end of the chapter LMAO so I wasted like 30 to 40 minutes there and all it was waiting for me were the credits xP

Well, Sweet Day with a Boy IS another of my manga, not surprising, haha!

She's obviously trying to reconcile the difference between her crush and her standards; she rags on him because she wants him to be better, because she cares.

That said, I can (kindof) see a super-studious #1 in class president having a random crush on a teacher, even this one, but jumping to "marry me" seems kind of ridiculous. Granted I'm not native Japanese, and maybe next chapter will make it a bit less insane.

"Would you go out with me with the prospects of marriage?" is or was a thing in Japan, based on manga reading. So yeah, it doesn't strike as THAT out of place to me. Sure she's going on strong and fast, though.

I think I realized the point where I immediately was wary of the teacher is when he goes "I'll pay you back with my body", like, before any kind of relationship is hinted at. It's a... VERY inappropriate joke for a teacher to make. And y'all are talking about how this must suck for him but like, he already invited this kinda shit by making awful jokes like that.

Playing games at work, yea I do that I relate. Smoking at work, a bit much but okay, hes just human and has his vices. Weird creepy jokes on the students? Ehhhnnn bad judgement my man, you're lucky shes into you.

Yeah, the guy really made a stupid joke there, but I could really see someone who's lowering his guard do this (and probably regretting it later on, haha)

Ngl the latest chapter going "oh yeah this is totally a Manga and we're aware of that" was off putting so probably will stop reading this for awhile until it's close to ending.

I don't know if that's how you and others are understanding it, but personally, I really only ever understood it as Kiyoka being a manga editor and she's kind of a nerd/otaku girl who can't help but see a shoujo-like situation with what's happening to Ai lately. I'm actually surprised to see ppl are seeing this as breaking the 4th wall, lol

My knowledge of subtle details in Japanese is still lacking, but as far as I could tell, the way Misumi told this to her parents didn't imply anything romantic. She deflected it.

So it's all about whether Aizawa spills the beans with her usual hysterical honesty, or she manages to mesh in with Misumi's vagueness, like some have suggested.

Also, my unrealistic hope is a poly ending with Konomi x Yukiko x Fuu, lol, there I said it.

The fact that Nagisa's father specifically warns him that he'll have to move out if anything happens with "that woman"*- the phrasing is vague enough that Nagisa doesn't get it but the implication is clearly that he's talking about Nagisa falling in love with Ai- seems to imply that the story will eventually take a romantic turn, that Nagisa's father will find out about Nagisa and Ai being a couple, and that Nagisa and Ai will have to deal with the consequences. While I'm not a fan of that potential plot development, I have to admit that a part of me is interested in seeing how things play out if Nagisa's dad finds out that his son and sister-in-law are romantically involved.

*Incidentally, I wonder if his use of the rather rude term "that woman" seems to imply that he doesn't like Ai very much, maybe because Nagisa's staying with her rather than his father and stepmother.

Indeed, it does seem like Nagisa's father doesn't like Ai too much, even though he's the one who initially left his son to her...

As a precision, Nagisa's father didn't use one of the harshest way to talk about Ai, i.e. he didn't say "yatsu" or something like that, he said "ano josei", but still, he didn't even address her as, i dunno, "his wife's sister" or "Ai" or anything...

As for the fact that we're getting this warning from him as a story element, I'm wondering if we must take it as a Chekov's gun, or if this plot element will be dropped, which isn't impossible with manga, deadlines and axes.

I don't see how I could think Aya's childhood friend should have a better end than Aya and/or Sei, because I mean, if I remember well, if anything, she turned a bit stalker and yandere at some point. Aya didn't love her, yet she tried to push her love on her. Sure, they got distant before, but I dunno, I was just hoping for Aya and Sei to learn to accept each other's "dark sides", because I could only see these two be somewhat happy together. They were broken and completed together somehow.

I'm on red alert and will not be able to settle down until I see the conclusion! Like Blastaar said, let's hope Ai x Misumi are living in a kind world where good-willed people and genuine feelings can win in the end!!! Hahaha........

I don't remember if we had been given the information, but Misumi being a 3rd year high school gives us a rough estimate of her age, something like 17~18 now, right? I'd have to re-read the whole thing to confirm, my memory being what it is...!
