It's almost bizarre how different alcohol and romance together are perceived in Japan versus the U.S. I always expect to feel gross after reading a story involving alcohol, but they usually turn out wholesome and great like this one. This anthology seems like it's going to be for me after all.

There's a drugs yuri anthology somewhere out there I'm dying for someone to translate, pretty niche subject has me extremely intrigued...

I remember there being a mental illness themed anthology somewhere on this site and, while interesting, it was also a major downer. I imagine a drug themed one being similar. Then again, I would have said the same about alcohol, but this story was entirely my jam. I'm a real sucker for adult romance yuri, especially when the couple is just being cute at home or on a date.

I thought this was kinda cute. Very wholesome sisterly love.

Even if this were some sort of strange roleplay (which is iffy because we certainly don't have enough context or evidence to assume that) the pigtail girl certainly didn't ask to watch molester play involving her best friend

Regardless of the relationship between Pudding and Prince, it is super uncool to bring others into your sexual acts without their consent. And I can't believe the number of people claiming that a stronger person can't be raped by a weaker one.
Or that a person would never hang around their abuser or molester after the fact. Not to say that's the relationship they have, but people in the real world certainly do and it isn't always easy for someone to just get out of it.

Tomboys and delinquents and even to a degree exhibitionism are things I'm typically on board with, but establishing that they are not in that kind of relationship and then depicting one girl assaulting the other was kinda gross. It's entirely possible that this is actually more akin to roleplay, since Pudding Senpai is still hanging around Prince at the end, but it just doesn't come across that way. MC was pretty great in general and it was cute seeing her come down with the gayness, but then you realize she did almost nothing to help her friend who was being molested and suddenly even that is ruined.

I am already loving this story and these characters. Can't wait to see a romance begin to bloom. Also, yakiniku x miso, otp!

Ah, a nice little side story about a nice little side couple. Of course, now I really want a chapter for the record club girls.

I felt the angst coming from the short-haired girl throughout most of the story, so I thought it fit. Maybe people are conflating angst and drama, which are typically tags that are seen together. I have no issues reading stories with angst or drama, but when they're paired up it usually means a rough read.

I definitely get the feeling that the reason Maki and Chie didn't remain close after high school has something to do with the blonde girl from the flashback. Also, it wasn't until I saw Ako's bandaged arm this chapter that I remembered her injury in chapter 2, so Komachi cutting her arm was just to match her sister, which Yuki picked up on immediately. And I love the detail of Maki trimming her nails after talking with Chie and deciding she would just go for what she wants (if you know what I mean). I thought Maki would be a reasonable adult, but it seems like Chie might need to step in and stop her from making a terrible mistake.

Super cute. Unfortunately, I may have suffered a bit of trauma surrounding the word "Halloween" so that may have affected my feelings on this one a tad.

I'm not sure why, but after the first season of Magia Record this was the only ship I latched onto so it's nice to see a story that focuses more on their relationship even if it isn't a romantic story. This was good.

Can't wait for more now that we've seen more of Maki's thoughts and such. Curious who that girl from her youth might be and how that flashback will relate to the present going forward. Also, I really wanted Ako to realize how uncomfortable Maki was on the "date," but nope, a disguise will fix things!

It hasn't been long since I last read this, but I'm reading it again in celebration of the new chapter. I just love these characters so much!

Ok, so I have no intentions of going back and rereading previous chapters, but senpai was being a total bitch before, right? Like, I'm not just misremembering am I? And now she totally wants to get back together with Liz? Is this more screwing with her or has her character changed drastically as a result of their hookup? I stopped caring for this series after it stopped being about Maki and Liz getting together, but it would still be nice to understand what these characters are actually thinking.

I'm guessing the yuri tag is there mostly because this story comes from an office lady yuri anthology, so even if the yuri isn't explicit, it is implied by that fact alone. Just a guess though. I liked this one just fine, but I don't see myself coming back to it in the future. It just lacks something I can't quite put my finger on.

I was considering reading Act-Age for this couple, but I don't think the actual story would hold my interest. As someone above said though, I would love to see some art of the yuri harem from Chainsaw Man make its way here.

Eeyuuuuuup! I normally don't care for those types of stories, but for some odd reason I think this one will handle it well. I do, however, have an extremely bad feeling about Yuki's place in all of this. She seems like a really good friend and I can't help feeling that she is going to have her heart broken. Maybe Chie will be able to help her out since she seems to be in a similar position with her friend/one-sided love interest, but neither character is really a "main" character, so I doubt they'll even be given page space to consul each other when the drama goes down.

As much as I loved the original premise (older succubus, younger human) for how the succubus had to hold back for the human's sake, I think the current version (older human, younger succubus) has more comedic potential.

Not gonna lie, when the one friend got up to get their food I was fully expecting her to fall dead before making it back. I refuse to get attached to any of these characters at this point for my own sake.

Really loved that last chapter of the recent three. The other two seem like they're setting up more down the line, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah, this definitely did feel like a set-up to one of those types of stories. At least there weren't explicit statements or thoughts from either of them to hint at any angst they might be feeling now, so the story is pretty wholesome overall.

This is amazing! It was an instant favorite after the first few pages. And on the topic of other good language gap stories, there's "The Frontier" as well.
