Yeah, I think Kan's comment is definitely more about them not being out to everyone they're with.

I don't dislike this kind of story, but it feels more like a setup for something bigger than a completed one-shot on its own.

I appreciate that the author took the time to show Takase getting along with Tanaka, and that she didn't stop writing her letters just because her delivery person had changed. It would've been pretty easy to just have a few panels of her saying to herself that she could still get along with people.

I imagine 16 will be a peek at the future of our happy couple, so 15 will be tying up loose ends. We've still got at least Doumyou to see to, and hopefully we'll see Komari one more time.

This artist ships Reimu with Remilia a lot, it's just kinda subtle. I actually really enjoy the friendship between Remilia and Rinnosuke though, they're both kind of struggling with having humans they care about who'll die way before them.

MariAli feels like such a nostalgic ship.

Since it's a nickname based on her real name, it's probably also something commonly used. VAs seem to get nicknamed by fans a lot too.

I like this pace of the relationship progressing so we can get to the real meat of the story. It doesn't feel unnatural to me either; they've clearly liked each other for a long time.

I agree with the above discussion. The yuri couple who adopted a child didn't last all that long. Husky and Medley at least lasted till college - and we don't know they arent together. The Lesbian encounter with loneliness girl i think broke up with her gff pretty quickly but she was saying all along she was making one step back, one-and-a-quarter step forward. It is kind of dangerous to put yourselves out there though it probably does a lot of good.

Husky and Medley are still together 12 years later, they got engaged after their 10th anniversary!

Could be that when the Dad remarried, the woman he married already had a child from a previous one. If that's the case, then they could finally breathe.

It wouldn't. I think a lot of people are overlooking the feeling of abandonment that Hibari must be feeling. Even if Maki wasn't her father's child and blood-related to her, the fact that her dad never contacted her while living with another family and raising another girl wouldn't go away.

If anyone decides to pick up the manga after reading this, feel free to take it slow. Not just because of the risk of cringe overload early on, but because the cast can feel bloated as more side characters come to the forefront. It can be hard to match names to faces if you don't take your time.

Edit: Re-reading this now, after the most recent manga chapter came out, really helps me appreciate how the doujin author nailed Asuka's character.

This artist did a doujin with a chapter that had the same premise, only it was Yuri taking Tomoko to the mountain.

It's because she's always sending out mixed signals. In this case, Saeko got her in a position where they could have sex but Miwa was so stiff it made Saeko think she was forcing herself to do it, even if Miwa said she was ready. What she says aloud and what her body language convey are two different things.
