If your not sure why not watch the movies they are basically a retelling of the anime except for the 3rd one.
You can start anywhere really the manga and anime are the same but the manga has some minor differences.

meh! I'm too irritated with Yamada-san's insecurities to really enjoy the story. I don't mind angst or even misunderstandings, but for cryin' out loud, every chapter? heaven forbid should their relationship progress to a sexual nature, poor Yamada will be boo hoo-ing all over the place. at that point, I'd suggest Kase-san walk away.

Yeah I will agree its starting to get old at this point.

you forgot that they are high school girls and they barely have 2 months going out, plus, yamada is really shy, you can't just expect them to have sex like that, honestly, this is one of the most attached to reality yuri manga created
