I think the ending would be a little more satisfying if we got to see a bit more struggle in the polycule getting their sealegs (establishing boundaries, dealing with jealousy, etc), but it was very cute. I'd love to see some bonus chapters!

This comic is deep and thoughtful. I appreciate the depiction of teenagers as people genuinely struggling to understand themselves and the world. Also I am glad for the depiction of grief as something that can overwhelm your feelings and make you numb. Sometimes people are shamed for not feeling sad immediately after a loss, which is incredibly unkind.

She spent the whole chapter being like "Oh no, I don't want to accidentally send him signals. Also I love my wife." so I don't think she's going to date him. Also his speech bubble asking her out was negative like it was something said in a horror scene so the tone seems pretty clear that Kuro doesn't want this. It's going to be fine lol

We lost a lot of potential energy there with the rival band. Tragic, I wanted to see that develop.

I was curious so I looked it up and "beach women" (磯女, iso-onna) are indeed established in yokai folklore. Like how she's depicted, they're stealthy and use their prehensile hair to capture people to eat. (I'm reading they're also supposed to be conventionally attractive and sultry but artistic license and whatnot.) I'm looking forward to seeing what other obscure water yokai this series will involve.

D&D isn't the worst thing ever but consider looking into Powered by the Apocalypse or Forged in the Dark if you want games that actually have design philosophy
