I watched a friend play the start of DDLC, and even aside from the het it was tropey as hell, to the point of being cringeworthy. I know it's supposed to get amazing later on, but wow do you have to put up with a rough slog to get to it. My friend ended up bored silly and gave up, so we never got to the alleged great parts.

You can say it' like... An absolutely normal VN with all cliché and boring shits... that you can find anywhere. Until the twist get in, then the twist got John Cena-ed by another twist, then you have a virus named Monika in your computer.

Pretty irrelevant, but I was re-reading the manga and noticed Yurine and Ayaka stopped using honorifics after a few chapters. Just out of curiosity, can someone who has read the the raws tell me if they do the same there?

It's by different scanlators. First 3 chapters was translated by Kawaii-scan and they took care of the honorifics. The rest by MiamMiam.

Keep Citrus to its own thread, please. Better to stay focused on this series instead.

I would like to point out that in response to this new character, I had a reaction of "oh! Someone new. This will shake things up a bit" as opposed to Citrus, where every new character is greeted with "ugh, here comes another pointless annoying arc"

Even if it ends up bad, 1x1/2 will still look miles better by comparison.

Ayako's sister or her sister-in-law, because her name's /Mori/ Akira. The former would honestly make more sense, given how similar they look to each other.

If I'm not wrong, Kisaragi was Ayako's surname before she got married, and the guy's surname was Mori, whiiich means that she'd have to be a blood relative of the guy's. Unless there's been a mistake with the surnames.

She addressed Ayako twice - both times by name without any honorifics and she used pretty casual and informal speech style.

Best friends still calling eaching without honorifics (plus the "-san" doesn't help at all )

ANW, I don't feel too bad about this since the author played the lolicon card as "Mimika likes Kaede because her personality, not because she is a lil kid".

This aspect of the story kind of bugs me, since it's used to imply that Mimika will always like her on that basis.

But do you have the same personality as when you were 9? I sure don't. People change, and pretty rapidly around that age. Puberty has huge and often unexpected effects on how a person thinks and views the world, and Kaede isn't even close to that point yet. If she likes Kaede's personality (which kind of contradicts the whole "love at first sight" thing at the start) then wow, she's gonna be unhappy when that personality inevitably changes in the next few years.

Well, like in most happy couples. "Like" slowly turn into "Familiar" that makes you feel lacking something without your partner. So I guess we don't have to worry about that
