Cute, but barely anything happened. There was complication for about one page that was resolved immediately in two different ways.

Wedding pictures are almost the best thing (with proposal pictures being slightly better, since they're rarer). It's all good, though.

Why doesn't this site have a handholding tag, anyway? Seems odd to me.

She seems like the type who normally wouldn't be very accepting of same sex couples, but is hypnotized by Mari's masculine handsomeness (just like most people who meet her).
Mari's steadily building a harem of grannies without noticing, it's fantastic.

Arisa is the hero LGBT needs

Arisa is great, but I'd say that if anyone was a hero in this chapter, it's Hara-san. She abruptly finds out that the boyfriend Arisa has been talking about constantly is actually a girlfriend. But instead of getting weirded out, her reaction is to try and prevent any misunderstandings that could get Arisa into trouble, and then proceeds to help save their relationship solely because she's a great friend who likes to help people. She turned around a super awkward situation and made the best of it.

Hara-san might be my favorite straight girl in a yuri manga ever.

Poor Stan will probably have to revise previous chapters that featured Hara-san to reflect how she's mistaken about Mari-san's sex.

Don't worry, he was prepared for it: if you go back, you'll see that Arisa has never mentioned Mari's gender or name while speaking to Hara-san. Otherwise the running gag of her assuming they're talking about boyfriends wouldn't have worked.

Mari-san just keeps breaking hearts wherever she goes. Boys, girls, old ladies, nobody's safe.

Seriously, I love all the little grannies in this neighborhood, and how they all have crushes on Mari, no matter if it's as "the girlfriend with the voice" or "the prince of the balcony". It's freaking adorable.

And I agree that it's sweet that nearly everyone that Arisa comes out to (and outs Mari to) have been so accepting. The only ones who were jerks about it was the old man in chapter 3 and Maeda (but he's kind of a super creep in general). Also sort of that taxi driver, who thought that two girls checking in at a love hotel was a bad idea.

I'm not counting the convenience store clerk, as he doesn't hate them for being lesbians, he just hates them because Arisa is loud and annoying. Which is a legit reason.

I might sound like an ass, but as a blind person, she could cut line in pretty much any place, if she played her blindness

Mari seemed like she didn't like using her handicap as a crutch, as it were. She gets annoyed by people treating her differently for it.
It also seems like Mari didn't expect there to be such a long line, which is why she didn't book a table.

I really like how this story handled her blindness as just one of Mari's quirks, instead of defining her completely as "the blind girl" or trying to make us feel sorry for her (if anything she comes off as very strong willed and capable). It wasn't even pointed out until several pages in.

It is played for slapstick once, with her pressing her phone into Manami's face, but there it's more a joke about her being pushy than blind, and I feel like they would've done the same joke even if she could see.

Also agree with everyone about the art, it's wonderful and I hope this artist makes more stuff that ends up here.

Really cute little story, and these girls would make an adorable couple. Manami is so thirtsy, and Mari knows it.

I also love how Mari can stare down Manami despite being blind, with closed eyes.

"The skyline was beautiful on fire
All twisted metal stretching upwards
Everything washed in a thin orange haze

I said: "kiss me, you're beautiful -
These are truly the last days"

You grabbed my hand and we fell into it
Like a daydream or a fever"

Godspeed You! Black Emperor -The Dead Flag Blues

Also, on the topic of inbreeding, this is alien technology that can make women impregnate each other. I'm sure there's something in there that fixes the negative effects of inbreeding.

Little Witch Academia is fun. Don't expect it to be as homoerotic as all the fanart makes it look, but there's definitely a bit of subtext if you have your yuri goggles on hard enough.

They were always the second gayest characters to me, after Kaorin (cause nothing's gayer than that girl).

Someone had fun drawing creases on their sweaters.

This is sweet and casual, I like it.

Emi-chan sculpts demonic idols because she thinks they're cute, and encourages yuri couples. She really is the best.

Anna is cute too, and as someone who don't look anything like most of my siblings, I can relate.

not blood related? or.....

Genes are tricky, and having parents with the genes for blonde hair doesn't guarantee that you'll get it.
Both my parents are brunettes, but I'm a redhead.

I hope I wasn't the only moron struggling with the pronunciation of moelujah

Nah, I said it aloud a couple of times to make it work.

So is Yuri straight (or possibly asexual, I guess) and really not into girls, or closeted and in denial? I kinda feel she's the former, sadly. But it would be great if I'm wrong.

And yeah, I'd read the editor's story. Lesbians and explosions, what more could you ask for.

Also gonna agree with Lily that Yuri is way prettier with her glasses on. This goddess has excellent taste, and mortals should listen to her advice. Moelujah!

It's a fun name to say, that's for sure.
Come to think of it, I really like that Tsukisu-sensei's college crush is left a bit ambiguous. I know stuff like gender pronouns work differently in Japanese, but it's certainly implied that it wasn't a boy at all.

Ear licking isn't that odd, the ear is an erogenous spot for a lot of people. It's sensitive, after all.

Huh, didn't expect it to be this innocent. It's less a "real" romantic relationship, and more a child exploring emotions by playing pretend, and an adult humoring her because it helps her do her job, but clearly isn't seeing it as "real" dating. Maybe the author will take it into the (honestly kinda creepy) direction of a doctor being attracted to a child that I expected, but I honestly hope they don't. It's way cuter like this.

Do you have any examples of stories where the older teacher takes the lead and tries to seduce a student, that's not super creepy?

Duke
joined Jul 29, 2017

On one hand, I fully agree that the whole "aggressive student hitting on her insecure, sexually frustrated teacher" thing is
getting a bit overdone. On the other hand, doing it that way is kind of necessary if you want to do a teacher/student story, because the alternative is pretty much to have an adult taking advantage of a child, which is just creepy.
