I like how the second and third top-ranked ships are m/m (also the first place one if you want Doctor to be male). I am kinda curious how they ranked them, though. I'm guessing there was a poll somewhere?

Pretty much. In addition to her just being a really strong unit by herself, her talent lets Vanguards use their skills a lot faster. That talent makes her invaluable for hard content like Risk 20+ Contingency Contract where the natural DP regeneration is limited and you need to set up your units ASAP.

That said, given her popularity it's pretty much guaranteed that at least one person on your friend list will have her, so if you don't get her it's not the end of the world.

I've been playing since January and gotten Top Op a few times. I don't know how the Recruitment tag probability is calculated, but it seems like all the times I've gotten that tag, it came with other rare tags that I'd have loved to get otherwise but don't go with Top Op, like Senior Op, Nuker, etc. Though the best I've ever gotten from Recruitment is Vulcan from just a single Defense tag :V

By the way, does anyone know if the Chinese server ever expanded the Recruitment pool?

edit: By the way, I've been putting off reading this after the first couple chapters fearing it might just be another "maintain the status quo" kind of manga. I can only take so much of that, and if it's going "oh are they dating? nope. How about now? nope", ad infinitum, I'd rather read something else.

Not sure if I should spoiler this since it's already finished, but whatever. Don't worry, they absolutely are dating by the end of the series proper. It helps that this is a very short series so it doesn't really drag out all that much.

Probably. Just looking at the chapter tags, the first time Sakurako got drunk was when she accidentally drank some in chapter 27, where she kinda went crazy. The next time was on her 20th birthday in chapter 50, where she reacted similarly - after all, it had been a few years since the last time she had any. The two times she had alcohol after that (chapters 55 and 57), Sakurako was considerably more restrained. Her not going crazy in chapter 66 seems more like a logical progression from that.

From a quick glance at Takeshisu's Pixiv, it doesn't seem that there's a sequel to this. It's too bad - I would've liked to see where this goes.

Auto-deploy can get screwy if you promote your operators, especially if you barely managed to clear a level previously. It is weird that DPS seems to be problem in this case, though. The best advice I can give would be to just clear it again normally, or just take over from auto-deploy where the run fails.

I'm more surprised that there's another Camilla x Nozomi picture - by a different artist, even!

Yeah, personally speaking I'm fine with Grani x Skadi but I think I like Carol x Grani more. Now if only more people drew that ship...

I do like Specter x Skadi too, but that's more based on the really good fanart I've seen of it. I'm really just waiting for the inevitable Abyssal Hunters event that will explore their past relationship - or at least give them more interactions.

On the Chinese server, the Ancient Forge event was only 1 week, which was then extended to 2 weeks for the Global servers. The same thing happened with the last event that used the same format, Operational Intelligence. I guess they wanted to make sure everyone was able to get the rewards, even if they couldn't play all the time - maybe that was something players complained about when they originally ran? In any case, I also would've liked more rewards lol.

Also, here's a short animation featuring Grani x Skadi with unrequited Specter x Skadi. Apparently the dialogue/background comes from a het anime called White Album 2, hence Skadi's male voice. Comments are pretty funny here.
