And, if not arguing about it, there's certainly merit to discussing the tag. Personally, I really don't want to click on a manga with the Wholesome tag only to see **** because somebody thought it would be funny to meme about, so I think establishing an understanding of what the community thinks is fit for the tag isn't a bad thing.

I agree with the rest of your sentiment, but I would just say that all tags complement each other by default. If a manga has Wholesome and Comedy and no Drama or NSFW, then it would be safe to assume that it's Wholesome as you'd like to employ it. However, there may be cause - I don't know presently - to pair Wholesome with a tag you wouldn't do the same with. I'm pointing this out because when considering what to read, one should always consider all tags present before making a determination. Hopefully that makes sense.

This is a great little oneshot. It almost doesn't work specifically because it's a oneshot, it would be much better if given the room of something that went 2-3 parts. That would allow us to get a look into Mayu's head, which would bring the character interactions together in a more meaningful way. I tried to write more but it didn't come out right, so I'll just leave it at that.

I finally finished it. I'm eternally grateful to Purin, for having put in so much work on this when seemingly it was never going to be finished! Reading through Volume 3 gave me serious nostalgia of pushing through the raws with a friend and struggling with my horrific Japanese comprehension (6 years later, it's still horrific). I cried when it ended and then cried again after finishing all the extras. It's a really great, special series. (Don't worry, I'm not totally biased since I'm madly in love with everything about Arata Iri or anything)

With the good stuff said, I do have to say - with an editor like that it's no surprise the magazine collapsed (I'm being rude. Sorry editor-san, I'm sure you're great!). I was surprised to read the afterword and discover that Volume 3 was (sorta) pre-planned. Does that mean that Hobunsha more or less knew Tsubomi was going down the drain, or was the series getting the soft axe? In any case, she's got some great skill in pulling off a variety of crazy yet memorable characters, but I feel like the development - especially seen in Yuu - just didn't come across that strongly with so little screen time to cover it.

It is hilarious how she transformed from a nothing girl into some kinda carnivore, but there's like a big gap between the Yuu we see in the first two volumes and the Yuu we see in the Extras (even the original V3 extras). While I am a huge fan of gap moe, the gap doesn't feel like its gets enough airtime, which was a real shame...

Anyway complaints aside, it's a great series. Very happy Arata Iri is still in the business!

This artist's fluffy pieces really remind me of fanfic, in the best way possible. They're cute, and silly, and quite self-serving. Very easy and pleasant experiences!

The predictability of the plot isn't really a fault of the author so much as it represents a limitation of the medium they were working with. I can't say the tone really worked for me, tho. The BAM TWIST straight into conclusion fails to properly convey...much of anything beyond natural emotional response. There's plenty of material here for speculation and discussion, but to echo Kiena, there really isn't anything conclusive at all to derive from the story. Certainly it could carry some promise as a series, though.

Re:Tags while it's always a welcome discussion and so on, in this case there won't be any changes. Perhaps next time we'll be better off posting that first, since it does seem like these tag discussions become rather circular after a while.

Why does this chapter have a separate thread of its own? Aren't series supposed to have a singular thread?

It's a little confusing since it starts as a one-shot in Yuri Drill followed by a couple of Twitter extras. It's only as of Stay At Home that it became its own brand.

I was wondering now if maybe we should sort this out. Does it appear that it will become a long-running series on its own?
